Isn't Arsenal after Arshavin ? That would be a good addition for the wings..

No we're not.. Zenit are asking too much for him.. in the region of around ?21.. which is crazy.. besides he is going to Real Madrid.. its more or less done.. he will be on loan or trial there till end of this season and after that they'll decide if they want to make him a permanent signing..

Yeah, those three in particular are shocking. Although, Eboue is a bloody right back so why is he getting played in central midfield?

Marty you are right.. I said before.. you cannot honestly be thinking of mounting a challenge for any trophy with a defender playing as a midfield player.. Wenger might say that he expected Rosicky to be fit sooner.. but well.. transfer window opens soon.. he will get a chance to fix the weaknesses this team has..

You got Silvestre;))

And the shockingly bad players just keep on coming.. :pinch::

If Steven Sidwell was a few years older - or a few years younger - he might now be an Arsenal regular.

The 26-year-old was part of Arsenal's Youth Cup-winning squad in 1999 but found his route to the first-team blocked by a quartet of top-class central midfielders - Patrick Vieira, Gilberto, Edu and Ray Parlour.

With such an embarrassment of riches at his disposal, Ars?ne Wenger allowed Sidwell to leave for Reading in January 2003. He joined Aston Villa last summer from Chelsea and has played a vital role in his new club's surge up the Premier League table.

Makes you wonder how we got from that to this.. Diaby, Song, Denilson, Eboue.. :ss

Great result from us today :D

It was a great result for your side, much better than last week! :D My boys (Villa) should have given Arsenal carrots but we contrived to almost lose it. In the end we just managed to get a pretty good result! I was really sweating!

I couldn't believe how many times you hit the bar!

Still doable ... At least I keep telling myself that .....

Last season we were leading the table with 9 points by february and still managed to finish third ... We are fifth and ten points behind Liverpool, there's no reason why we can't win this !! We just have to get back to winning ways ... Defense is finally startinig to looke well with Gallas and Djourou and (I'm afraid Toure is not good enough to start atm) and although Cesc is out I think Ramsey might be a good choice , Song is gonna be missing the game anyway with five cards so if Wenger starts Denilson and Ramsey in the centre with Eboue and Nasri on the flanks and hopefully Ade will be back to play alongside RVP ... I think wec an win this game ... We should win this game or we'll risk dropping to the sixth place and its something we can't afford

No doubt!! To be where we are with the players we have is amazing.. hats off to where ever its due.. but not to Wenger this season.. I was a big AW fan at the start of this season but this season it seems the guy has lost it!! He is stubborn and childish.. There isnt one game so far where after we lost Wenger came out and the guy admitted his mistakes and that the team was not good enf.. no! he blames the opposition.. makes crazy allegations.. is just not ready to admit we need players.. after watching the Villa game, I'd say Arsene.. instead of these excuses why dont you buy two good centre backs, a couple of great centre midfield players, 2 wide players with vision and range, and a goalscorer instead of Bendtner? We should have picked up three points against Liverpool but Djourou was sleeping for that long ball and the ever experienced Gallas did not need to make that tackle on Agbonlahor yesterday.. compare our squad to other top4 clubs and we are weak in every area except our forward line.. but the the guys are still not that far off from the top.. seems to me they want to win but need help.. winter transfer window opens for specifically that reason.. get them some experienced help Wenger! We can still do a double if not triple.. FA Cup and UCL!!

I hate to admit this coz I was never a Flamini fan.. more so after he left.. but the guy brought out the best in Cesc.. and thats what Cesc missed this season.. a partner.. I can see Xabi Alonso or Veloso doing the same for Cesc but thats after Cesc comes back.. right now we need someone to replace him.. Yaya Toure perhaps? So Yaya to replace Cesc.. Alonso and Veloso to partner him.. and centre midfield would become stable.

Liverpool 5 Newcastle 1.

Great game and to be honest we should have been around 7-0 up in the first thirty minutes, it was crazy.

It just goes to show that Rafa knows best, as a lot of people where complaining pre kick off about Alonso, Keane and Riera being rested.

Bring on 2009!

You'll Never Walk Alone.

Nah mate, you won't be getting Alonso.

Ah :(

Pompey have already lost some good midfield players. Mendes, Muntari, Diarra. It looks like we will loose Defoe and perhaps Glen Johnson (I heard liverpool).

Janurary could just break us.

I don't think Liverpool will be making a move for Glen Johnson in January. We have Arbeloa, Degan and Darby for right back, and Carra can fill in there when required. I also don't think Glen is a "Rafa" player, as in he has defensive frailties.

Top half of the table!

When was the last time West Ham won 2 games in a row?...maybe when Bobby Moore was playing :p

I think its a long way to go at the top!

Another great result for your lads! :) Excellent stuff! We [Villa] have Hull on Tuesday, 30 December 2008, this is a must win game! No excuses from here on in!

A good day of football today, which should make MOTD a good watch tonight. Chelsea dropped two points, leaving us three points clear at the top heading into the New Year.

Did anyone see what happened with Fuller and Griffen ?

True, but attacking from that postion, he is pretty good!

I suspect he will leave though, sods law to spurs.

Very true, he is class going forward.

I've always liked Glen Johnson tbh. Back in the early days of Championship Manager he was class

I'm glad West Ham won today, mainly because you lot won me ?20;))

we got the win today, good stuff and more importantly three points up on chelse and the best team in the EPL before 09 :)

i think the best part of the game is that we sent a good message to the rest of the league, and our boy gerrard scored twice!!!

    • I don't hate the new menus, I am not a fan of the lack of features and how they went live when they clearly are not complete. The menu itself presents much better than the previous - but what's lacking (IMO) is: 1) Any kind of automated manipulation such as: "this goes on the new menu because you use this feature more often on this filetype" "this is rarely used and will fall back to the old menu" 2) Any kind of user manipulation such as: "a UI to add/remove/order items to the new menu"
    • The biggest issue in this version of Win 11 context menu, from usability standpoint, is the movable row with basic commands. Think of a car analogy...if You turn the week left the infotainment screen will move right and vice versa. With how it works now Microsoft made something forbidden in designing in any UI, software or hardware. I can't grasp who were the morons within Microsoft suggesting it was a good idea and gave it a green light.

Support and documentation is free from our large, dedicated community of users, contributors and developers. You, too, can also get involved! Choosing Between LibreOffice Still and LibreOffice Fresh: LibreOffice Still is a good choice if you value stability, a longer support cycle, and a more conservative approach to software updates. It's suitable for businesses and organizations where reliability and compatibility are crucial. LibreOffice Fresh is ideal if you're an enthusiast or an early adopter who wants to stay on the cutting edge of LibreOffice development and is willing to accept more frequent updates and occasional minor issues. Features: Writer is the word processor inside LibreOffice. Use it for everything, from dashing off a quick letter to producing an entire book with tables of contents, embedded illustrations, bibliographies and diagrams. The while-you-type auto-completion, auto-formatting and automatic spelling checking make difficult tasks easy (but are easy to disable if you prefer). Writer is powerful enough to tackle desktop publishing tasks such as creating multi-column newsletters and brochures. The only limit is your imagination. Calc tames your numbers and helps with difficult decisions when you're weighing the alternatives. Analyze your data with Calc and then use it to present your final output. Charts and analysis tools help bring transparency to your conclusions. A fully-integrated help system makes easier work of entering complex formulas. Add data from external databases such as SQL or Oracle, then sort and filter them to produce statistical analyses. Use the graphing functions to display large number of 2D and 3D graphics from 13 categories, including line, area, bar, pie, X-Y, and net - with the dozens of variations available, you're sure to find one that suits your project. Impress is the fastest and easiest way to create effective multimedia presentations. Stunning animation and sensational special effects help you convince your audience. Create presentations that look even more professional than the standard presentations you commonly see at work. Get your collegues' and bosses' attention by creating something a little bit different. Draw lets you build diagrams and sketches from scratch. A picture is worth a thousand words, so why not try something simple with box and line diagrams? Or else go further and easily build dynamic 3D illustrations and special effects. It's as simple or as powerful as you want it to be. Base is the database front-end of the LibreOffice suite. With Base, you can seamlessly integrate into your existing database structures. Based on imported and linked tables and queries from MySQL, PostgreSQL or Microsoft Access and many other data sources, you can build powerful databases containing forms, reports, views and queries. Full integration is possible with the in-built HSQL database. Math is a simple equation editor that lets you lay-out and display your mathematical, chemical, electrical or scientific equations quickly in standard written notation. Even the most-complex calculations can be understandable when displayed correctly. E=mc2. • Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi system 2-pack is 27% off by Ivan Jenic The Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi system is currently $239.99 on Amazon for the 2-pack, down from $329.99. That's 27% off and $90 saved for a solid Wi-Fi solution that covers your entire home (purchase link down below). The 2-pack covers up to 4,000 square feet (372 square meters) and supports 100+ connected devices, which handles the vast majority of home setups without breaking a sweat. Wi-Fi 6E brings access to the 6 GHz band for lower latency across the network, and the 2.5 Gb Ethernet port supports gigabit+ internet plans if your ISP offers them. eero's TrueMesh technology handles traffic routing automatically, so you're not manually managing which devices connect to which node. You set up the entire thing through the eero app, and the entire process takes a few minutes. The system also receives automatic security updates in the background, so once you set it up, you don't have to worry about compatibility issues. If you're covering a larger home or want more nodes, the 3-pack is $329.99 and the 4-pack is $479.98, both at similar discount levels. It's worth mentioning that a newer model exists, which is likely the reason for the discount, but the Pro 6E is still perfectly capable hardware for most homes.
