Finished The Wire the other week. It is quite simply a stunning masterpiece.

I can't believe I never used to watch this show when it originally aired. At the insistence of a colleague I rented the first season and was hooked. For all lauding The Sopranos got it went downhill after Season 6 but this show maintained its visceral edge through and through.

I'd say my fav season was the Public School/Hamsterdam one(Season 3?) followed by the docks one(season 2?). I chuckle every time I see Stringer Bell on The Office. :p

Season 2 is my favorite, probably Season 3 after that. Such a good show. It is really hard to explain it to a non-fan. All you can do is get them to watch all 60 episodes and hear what they say about it. Amazing!!
