Unreal Tournament III

I just got the 360 version yesterday and I'm having a blast, literally. I also have it for PC, but I figured with 12 people playing it online, that I might get more gametime with the 360 version. So far, lots of people playing (compared to the PC version at least) and graphically it looks amazing.

I just wish more people played ranked matches instead of player matches so I can get achievements :(

I picked this game up yesterday. I've never played a UT game before and this is a blast. It's like Gears of War and Halo 3 got together and made a little crack addicted baby.

Killing people with what is essentially a tripod walker from War of The Worlds never gets old.

This game is twice as good as the PS3 version. On the playstation version the graphics dont look as good and online completely sucked.

I love the Xbox 360 version.

Mods just cause problems. We will more than likely get more map packs.

Nonsense. I have played both console versions and they look identical and run exactly the same. If anything the mods on the PS3 version give it the edge. It's not surprising that some are saying the mods are worthless, if the 360 could use them they wouldn't be, would they?

90% of the reviews are saying the PS3 version is slightly better.

Proof? I have played both and the XBOX360 version is smoother and looks slighty better. Plus it plays better on the controller.

The mods on PS3 don't mean crap because nearly all of them are awful anyway.

TBH WGaF, the game is crap on all formats, 360, PS3, PC, Yes,as I said the mods make a difference, but all it is, is a rehash of the old games, including most of the maps. Live with it, Deal with it you fanbois, at best this is a mediocre game (my personal opinion) and I have now played on all three formats, and none of them stood out, not even proper keyboard/mouse control on the pc, everything lags, and auto aim on the consoles is just a cop-out. I won't post anymore comments as they don't need to be said, albeit there is no better version, they're all crap.

yes they would. over my entire history with UT on computer, I've hardly ever played it with ANY mods, they're all crap. the only mods I've used are full conversions such as TacOps and such, and those take ages to make, and playable versions aren't around for years after the game is released, and they're the kind of things that are oficially tested and approved by Epic for release though live anyway.

The only games I really use mods on are Ghost Recon(the good orignal one) and Raven Shield, and then it's just to add more weapons and such. but that's because they're realistic shooters. adding new weapons to UT s mostly pointless.

I think for someone how has never played a game in the UT series (me), this is a very solid FPS for the 360. I couldn't care less if it's a "rehash" of old games, it has over 40 maps and they are all pretty badass, the pace is balls to the wall compared to Halo or CoD and the graphics are amazing. Sure the MP modes aren't anything new, but there's only so much you can do in an FPS.

    • Given only Volume license customers and specific resellers can obtain the LTSC versions legitimately it seems likely that this has been tinkered with quite a lot!
    • Apple CEO Tim Cook confirms looming price hikes due to memory shortages by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Memory and chip shortages have led to significant price increases for electronics over the past year, and it seems that more hikes are on the way for upcoming smartphones and computers. Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is planning to increase the prices of some of its products due to the ongoing memory and storage shortages. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook confirmed the looming price hikes for Apple’s future products, adding that “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” He also said the company is doing its best to “mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.” The Apple CEO also noted that the allocation of a large portion of memory chips to AI companies has contributed to shortages in the market, resulting in lower supply at a time when demand for devices remains high. “We definitely need memory pricing and supply to return to reasonable levels for consumer products. That’s the bottom line,” Cook said. Cook also added that Apple is ready to use its vast cash reserves to help boost supply in the market because additional production capacity is needed. While he declined to specify how Apple plans to do that, he said the company will not build its own memory and storage factories despite its financial resources and silicon expertise. Cook did not provide further details on the scale of the price increases or which Apple products would be affected, though iPads and Macs could see higher prices sooner than other products. Apple’s next product launch event is scheduled for September, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. It remains unclear whether the upcoming iPhones will be affected by the price increases, but given the current memory shortage, higher prices seem increasingly likely. There is currently no clear timeline for the end of the memory shortage. Samsung, one of the world’s three largest memory chip manufacturers, recently said the shortage could persist for several more years.
    • Downloads does not equal actual usage, even less when the app is pre-installed in some Galaxy phones.
    • +1000 to this, don't understand why they added that margin around the top bar, even the close button is a PITA to click without aiming. Ofc, this is just preview and hopefully they will revert such odd UX decision before hitting final version.
    • so the people who bought this will get a refund?
