Here is an update of my Sfere Black theme for the Playstation 3 and PSP. I added:

PS3

- Playlist icons on Music and Photo

- Create New Playlist icons on Music and Photo

- Now Playing Music icon

- Power Off Icon

- Trophy Icon

- Search Icon

- New Wallpaper

PSP

- Search Icon

- New Wallpaper

If you don't like the wallpaper you can just replace it with your own :p

To install these themes unzip the PS3 folder on your USB drive. Insert the USB Drive on your PS3 and go to Settings > Themes Settings > Theme > Install and select your USD Drive.

Download PS3 Theme: http://-kol.deviantart.com/art/Sfere-Black...-Theme-90881160

Download PSP Theme: http://-kol.deviantart.com/art/Sfere-Black...-Theme-90927331

enjoy :p

KoL: how do you do that "swoosh" effect in Photoshop? I've always wanted to make some wallpapers and some simple background stuff for use in web designs, but I don't know exactly... what tool to use.

That theme looks really nice, if I ever do get my PS3, I'll have to give it a try :D

Im a noob creating that effect. Still learning how to do it but I use gradients, transform > warp, disort > wave filter, gaussian blur, erase tool are some of the tools and filters I used. PSDTUTS.com have some tutorials about wave, glow, light effects. I read some of them and they helped me. I don't follow exactly what the tuts say but they helped me to figure out how to make it.

These are some of the tutorials. They are not the same thing I made but they can help you. I read more in other sites but I dont remember where.

edit the waves???

The animated waves that move!

On the PSP we can customize these waves, change their shapes/location, ect.

With the PS3 my understanding is you can only use a static wallpaper.

aaahh

The only thing you can do is change the color of the waves on the PS3. But you can use the waves with themes, just change it in wallpaper section.

^ Any reason why the waves are white (bright grey) when using a theme? If you disable the theme they are black like normal. Is there a setting in the theme to use the brighter background color? My only problem is that the wallpaper seems to have quite a bit of artifacts when used on my PS3 (color blotches) near the bottom left. I disabled the wallpaper hoping for the default black background with the waves but I get this bright grey one now. I don't want to revert back :( your icons are hella nice, but I can't have a bright background, distracting, I want something dark and subtle.

Yeah like Game said. Go to Theme Settings > Color and change the color there. The black waves will only display at night. During the day you will see the Original color or the one you select.

In the PC the wallpaper looks fine but on TV doesn't look as good. I'm using it with Brightness setting at -2 and looks good on my TV. If you change the brightness setting it will look better. It would be nice if they allow us to change the brightness setting on the themes too.

LMAO @ Audioboxer
