Hey guys,

My name is Kieran, one of the creators of Playfire.com. I came across this thread in the logs and thought I'd sign up and say Hi!

I'm super glad you guys are enjoying the site so far. As a few of you pointed out, the site is still very much in beta. This means it's not perfect yet (will be make much faster to use), and that we'll be adding a LOT of features to the site (clans, game recommendations, chat, stats, iPhone app, etc) over the coming weeks.

We've got a small, fast team working full time on making this is the coolest site on the web, and we get ALL of our new feature suggestions from you guys the members -- so submit some ideas (using the forum or feedback links) and we'll build it!

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks for using the site, and we're doing our best to make it better for you.

Thanks,

Kieran

I already mailed some suggestions on Playfire, but I may as well add my thoughts here.

Things I'd like to see:

Steam Identity

Ability to change our game ratings

Ability to rate games differently on different platforms

Kinda cool you tracked us down here at Neowin, we have a pretty tight community here also, but it's cool to expand it to another site like Playfire dedicated just to gaming

Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I was surprised to find Wolfie on there still... I think I should of gone for WolfieZero though.

Well I got "Richard". Haven't managed that since I was in the top hundred or so to register on spreadfirefox.com

on the note of small issues. In the filling out info area the date fields really need labelling. It has a text field, selection of month followed by another unlabelled field. I can't tell if you want it in Y-M-D or D-M-Y

Finally added all my games.

Took a bit of time, and the search feature kept freezing, but that's all good.

As for improvements.

Maybe improve game searching time, but I dunno how you would do that.

It doesn't have Populous the beginning for the PS3 like it does some other titles that are on the store.

Along with no Ipod Game titles even though its listed under platforms.

And why not let people see the users trophies?

Though I would understand not wanting to till they can be linked to your PSN user properly.

    • Tor Browser 15.0.17 by Razvan Serea Protect your privacy. Defend yourself against network surveillance and traffic analysis. Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody from watching your Internet connection and learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites which are blocked. The Tor Browser Bundle lets you use Tor on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux without needing to install any software. It can run off a USB flash drive, comes with a pre-configured web browser to protect your anonymity, and is self-contained. • Very fitting name since AI users have air where there brains should be.
    • Yes, it was amusing at the time because even then dbrand was well known for stealing the designs of products from other companies. That’s what they do.
