Well as with other Crytek games in most cases you don't have to drive if you don't want to. Just get out and walk.

I walk mostly because I like seeing the scenery better. This game is going to kick ass.

Btw anyone know if there is much of a performance difference between DX10 and DX9 on the same system. I'm debating getting Vista for DX10.

perfromance is worse on DX10 because of the powered required to run all of it, yet you don't get very many benefits. this isn't a flaw with DX10 though, it's just shotty programing

I really hope performance is better. Upgrading to the 4870 has helped but there are still many occasions where the framerate noticeably drops - that's terrible for higher-end hardware released over half a year after a game that was already delayed for a year. Crytek simply made a bad judgement.

Yeah i walk because I prefer a some what less pronounced attack on a base. Rather sit back and do my thing that rush right in there.

Really? I like to launch my jeep over a rock jump out, watch it crush a building and then throw nades everywhere and blow **** up :laugh:

Wicked! I can't wait. I love playing Crysis, I have played through it at least 10 times now.I don't know why everyone is so harsh on it for being demanding, its not like we didn't know it was going to be ULTRA demanding. Its like it was when Doom3 came out and killed everybodies PC's. I like games like that, they push the technical envelope. Thats what PC gaming is all about. Besides Crysis on medium looks better than most games maxed out anyway.

Me too! If it weren't for games like these, I might as well get an XBOX360 or PS3.

Eh, sorry if this is a stupid question but will you need the original Crysis to play this? If not ill surely look into picking this up.

I believe it's a standalone game.

No this is a Standalone game from crysis this game takes place at the same time as crysis Warhead is set during the timeline of its predecessor. You play as Sergeant Michael Sykes, aka Psycho, the British-accented commando who goes off on a mission midway through Crysis only to reappear at the end,.

Dx10 performance in this will be far better as they have done alot of optimizing to the engine as they have stated and are using alot of new performance FREE new engine effects like global HDR ambient lighting new particle effects and also they have confirmed that in some many words that all the Dx10 stuff you seen in Crysis is now available to all Dx9 users

Yerli and the others see Warhead as sort of a relaunch for the Crysis franchise. For one, Crytek's programmers have spent the last year optimizing and tuning the engine to improve both performance and visuals. For example, Warhead will introduce a new particle system as well as a new global ambient lighting system that boosts the image quality "at almost no performance cost" according to Yerli. Some before-and-after shots show off the new level of detail now achievable, right down to being able to see the grain in a wood plank or pores in human skin. "This is being done in DirectX 9," Yerli noted, which is good news for those who haven't or are unwilling to upgrade to Windows Vista and DirectX 10. And that brings up Crytek's second point, which is that the rest of the PC ecosystem has matured quite a bit since Crysis shipped last year. Since then, Microsoft has released Service Pack 1 for Vista, which improved performance for 3D applications, and graphics hardware companies such as Nvidia have improved their driver support, which is critical for a game like Crysis.

There's also the fact that many gamers have upgraded their systems over the past year. The Crytek team wants to dispel the myth that Crysis or Warhead requires a high-end, expensive system to play. So they ran the Warhead demonstration on a $652 PC built with parts purchased online. Performance was astonishingly smooth and fluid even with a high level of graphical detail.

      I have a older F4-210 NAS, it is pretty basic, the CPU is not the fastest by a long way and only 1GB of ram, but it works fine. I don't understand the need for A.I in a NAS. It seems like A.i is being shoved into everything, if we like it or not. i will stick to my old Terramsater NAS, thankfully the OS is not being updated. Also, got myself a small NAs built using a Raspberry Pi 5. iy usesd less energy, so stays on all the time. As for the unit above, if it is as reliable as my old Terramaster Nas, then it will be a good unit.

      I get what you are saying, If i go onto the Instagram site, it says log in with Facebook, but they are not allowed to link my account with Instagram until I do that. Maybe in the U.S, they can link them, but Privacy is not a thing in the U.S. the way things are going,l won;t be any better in the U.K.
