I definitely envy people like you Pheee (not personally) but because I've had (and others) to wait for these games so long and put up with the driest lineup ever

Then you come along and they are all out ready and waiting :p Although you may fall into the trap of having everything at once and then nothing for months+ to play. Hope it's not the case though ;)

What's your PSN btw? I'll add you

Only tried it once tonight, and yeah, it was pretty crap. :(

Yeah, here was my experience.

I tried before to check out some levels with my boy jerzdawg, and there were quite a few issues. And we live within 50 miles of eachother I would say.

Among them...

I had to quit and launch the game 4 times before it succesfully signed online. It worked for him rigth away. Once I got in, he sent me an invite, which then froze the game for me for a good 3-5 minutes, and while it was frozen every 30 or so seconds I would see a frame of movement. I then was told I was connecting to him, then about 2 minutes it said it had failed.

He then sent another invite, and this time froze again, but only about 30 seconds, and then I joined him.

I did notice that while he invited me and it froze, both times I was in my friends list, and it appeared the game trying to receive everyones gamer picture and that was causing issues since I also accepted the invite. I Am Going to submit this as it was without a doubt the gamer pics and trying to fill them in for the 46 friends on my list that was causing an issue.

Which BTW, anyone know how I submit issues. I just got a code from someone else, so not sure if there is an email address or a way to do it through the game.

For about a minute once I joined him, the game was running at maybe a frame per second. It finally sorted itself out after about 30 seconds, and we played a few levels from Story Mode. It ran overall pretty damn good, but there were times it skipped like mad and frame rate dropped real bad at the same time, so it was not perfect by any means. I would say a 75% played fine rate.

The only other thing, We then went to go play some User Created Content, none was to be found. I left his Pod, invitied him to mine, which by this time the invite system worked much better, but still we could not find any User Create Content to play. I am guessing this goes back to the server issues from before and me not being able to log on.

So it appears this Beta is a good thing, as they apparantly have a decent amount of issues to iron out online for sure.

So does the online run pretty damn poorly for everyone else as well?

Yea.. Looks like im not the only one whos having difficulty.

Playing online has not been a pleasant experience for me at all... Lag, prolonged pauses, mad rush of activities, randomly booted, losing friends... etc

The game also crashed my PS3 last night. Got stuck in a tutorial level, wouldn't let me go back to the pod so when i went to the xmb and hit quit game the console started to beep a few times then just reset.

Hopefully they will iron out these bugs soon...

Yeah, FTR, game has reset (froze, then literally reset it to start up again) my PS3 3 times now. No biggie, but wanted to let you know you are not the only one experiencing that either.

I had exactly the same experience, I was doing the Poppit tutorial, where you stack the objects into Pyramid, I completed it, and tried to quit many times, and eventually quit game.

Then was not able to sign in again last night.

I assume server issues are to blame, so maybe it will be sorted soon.

But when I did play on line before that, it was fine, no lag etc.

From last night

LittleBigPlanet Beta: Servers Take A Hit And Are Down For Many Users

Well with great demand for Sackboy comes a great hassle on servers. While the problem is still unknown many beta users are experiencing a 403 Error when connecting to LittleBigPlanet today. I had to see for myself, and upon loading to my cardboard box (yes I call it that), I received a 403 error a long with many others. For those wondering what the 403 error basically won?t allow you to connect online. Yikes! No online It is still unknown if this is effecting everyone, but it has been confirmed by worldwide users that Sackboy gamers from all three betas (EU, Japan, and US) are experiencing this problem or that they are getting some massive lag. It could for one mean the severs are either down/being worked on or their is another mysterious update that we aren?t aware of. It could even be the possibility of too many people spending quality time with Sackboy on this Saturday. If that is the case then like many have been saying this is just a sign of success for Media Molecule in terms of popularity. We will try to contact Media Molecule, and see if they can help relieve us on the situation. Remember folks?its just a bUPDATE:E: Some users are slowly starting to get back online, but are experiencing extreme lag.

A friend of mine, a non-gamer, walked passed the shop in Manchester on friday, after he remembered me mentioning it he went in with his wife and they had a quick look at all the kids (it was just after schools let out for the day) playing a few levels, he said it looked like a fun platformer. which from him is a big compliment :)

man i wish i had beta :(

Sony explains Sackboy toy shortages

Sony has explained to Eurogamer that there has been a slight production hiccup with the Sackboy toys, meaning they won't be shipped in time to be sent with pre-ordered copies of LittleBigPlanet.

Instead, retailers will offer t-shirts to early adopters of the game.

But reports of copyright problems are untrue; the toys will still arrive, either at or just after the game's launch on 24th October.

All of this, incidentally, has had no effect on the Eurogamer LittleBigPlanet competition, which lets you design a level for the full game and offers heaps of prizes including a PS3 and those Sackboy toys.

The winning level will be playable at the Eurogamer Expo, which stars LittleBigPlanet among other Christmas blockbusters.

I got an email from ShopTo saying that i wouldn't be getting a sackboy due to copyright problems and i'd e getting a T-shirt instead. Didn't really bother me as i wasn't even expecting a sackboy. Even if they send me a sackboy later it'll be a bonus.

Plus a huge list of levels to try!

    • Marshall Major V Bluetooth headphones are now up to 47% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Marshall Major V in Midnight Blue is currently $89.99 on Amazon, down from $169.99. That's 47% off and $80 saved on a pair of wireless on-ear headphones from one of the most recognizable names in audio. The Major V is Marshall's take on a long-lasting everyday headphone. The headphones deliver 100+ hours of wireless playtime, which puts them in a completely different category from most Bluetooth headphones that hover around 30-40 hours. You’re charging this thing once a week at most, and with wireless charging supported, you don’t have to worry about additional cables. Marshall promises its signature sound profile, with strong bass, smooth mids, and clear highs. There’s a customizable M-button, which you can set to quickly access Spotify Tap, your EQ settings, or a voice assistant. The design is foldable and lightweight at 186 grams, so it’s easy to pack for travel. And finally, the faux leather finish gives the Major V a sleek, premium look. At $89.99, the Major V Midnight Blue is a genuinely strong buy for anyone who wants a reliable daily headphone without paying premium prices. It’s also worth mentioning that the Cream and Brown variants are also discounted to $89.99, though from a lower original price of $99.99. • +1 on XVI. I still use it.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets big bug-fixing and balancing update by Taras Buria Today, Playground Games released a big Forza Horizon 6 update with a long list of fixes, patches, and balancing tweaks that the studio promised earlier. Version 375.327 is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox, offering users improvements for AI, audio, design, performance, road discovery, upgrades, visuals, online play, and more. Some of the most notable changes in the Series 2 update include rebalanced drivatars, particularly their difficulty and race start behavior. As such, the game should be more balanced on higher difficulty levels, and AI cars should not shoot out when the race starts as if they have rocket boosters. Speaking of difficulty, developers nerfed Drag Tires physics for a more expected and realistic behavior. They are no longer the go-to option for record-breaking times in road racing, and all leaderboard entries with drag tires will be removed. Completionists will also be glad to get a new feature that lets you see road discovery percentage in each region, which should make discovering all roads easier while keeping it quite challenging and interesting (I spent quite a long time finding the last road). Festival Playlist is also getting some much-needed fixes, including patches for bugs that allowed completing Seasonal Jobs ahead of time or where weekly challenges would not unlock for some players. Developers will retroactively give reward points to all who could not complete all challenges due to these bugs. Other changes include changes to Horizon Play progression so that it is easier to reach Level 100, audio improvements on lower-spec devices, fixes for visual glitches, including pixelated smoke, and more. Developers also addressed the currently non-working Eliminator, an online mode gamers used to farm credits with a Hummer EV exploit. Playground Games plans to re-enable it soon. As a gesture of goodwill, players will get a free McLaren Sabre. Those who used the exploit will not be banned, but developers plan to roll back credits to a maximum of 10M for all who farmed credits using the exploit. You can find the complete changelog for the latest Forza Horizon 6 update here.
