Pity, I was hoping the Killzone stuff might come with some levels like the MGS ones.

Had your fill of custom, hand-knitted sackboys? We're coming close, but we're not there just yet. So there's still a little admiration left in the tank for this cute little Prince of Persia.

You'll remember Maggie Wang from that last batch, and she's also the lady responsible for this Prince here, who's notable not just because he's a lot less annoying than his in-game counterpart, but for the little touches, like his dainty little claw-hands.

Also anyone who hasn't, play the complete remake of Contra, it's awesome - http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/209037...-available-now/

Is this the only DLC we're going to see from them, continuous costume packs?

Costume packs are the easy DLC, level packs take time. Watch out for announcements at GDC I think, the guys on ListenUP keep dropping hints about big changes on the way, and so did MM on their podcast.

Online Co-Op creation should be any month now, it's in either the next big patch or the one after going by their cheese scale.

I could never find the st. patty's day costume anywhere... is it for eu only?

Probably EU/UK only :/

Curse ye American copy of LBP! (I own an American copy :()

I think the St. Patrick's costume is out for the EU/UK only right now and everyone else gets it this coming Thursday.

Edit: Yep. Checked the release lists for last Thursday and EU/UK is the only one that has it as of right now.

These Contra levels are so freakin amazing!!!!

And I just realized I tried one without even knowing! Man, I believe it's one of the last levels because I found it so hard I didn't even finish it. It was awesome, but deserved its "frustrating" tag. As for comparing with the original, I never played it, so I can't really say :D

My best level so far I think was a Tribute to Silent Hill. And some cools things to look for are Mario Bros, Castlevania, Kingdom hearts (just tried one level but it was gorgeous, every character was so well drawn). I haven't tried Megaman, but I think it's gonna be my next search

People are so great at creating levels for LBP. I know the editor is fabulous, but the people are even better than fabulous with it.

I can't wait to see what "big changes" are coming in LBP, if this is really what I've read. Or maybe even an LBP 2, but I hope this franchise doesn't become too commercial (a.k.a LBP iPhone, LBP DS, LBP flash game on a website, LBP2, LBP3, LBP : Online, LBP : Sackboy, etc.) I like is as it is

Seeing as we don't have a USA deals topic, I'll post this here.

LBP for $21.90 - http://www.gogamer.com/viewproduct.htm?pro...extid=March1709

edit: On inspection for some reason they are selling the PAL version, which is fine in the sense it will work, but you'll need to buy PAL DLC.

I don't understand how this spectacular game got so cheap so quickly.

Gogamer is an online American retailer selling the PAL version on the cheap, they get strange bulk purchases sometimes and let it go cheap. I'm not sure they deal with any markets outside the US, I used them a lot when I was an avid PC gamer and they often sold "international" versions of PC games very cheap. At least around my area I haven't seen LBP for less than $50.

I'm sure it can be had cheaper online and I got my copy from eBay for around $40, but it is well worth the asking price.

Cornish Yarg' LBP Patch incoming

Juicy information about the upcoming update patch for LittleBigPlanet known as ?Cornish Yarg? has been revealed In the latest Media Molecule podcast.

Some new features, not previously known have been revealed:

* Global lighting controllers (as first seen in the Metal Gear Solid pack)

* In-game XMB music available in create mode (?listen while you work?)

The patch is currently in QA and apparently awaiting feedback from Sony - the final stages of release. Fingers crossed for no major bugs and we should have this very soon.

http://www.littlebigplanetoid.com/images/uploads/A_Photo_3.jpThe global lighting controller first appeared in the MGS4 pack and allows for adjustable lighting effects to be added to different parts of a level, allowing for the creation of truly atmospheric stages.ges.

http://www.littlebigplanetoid.com/images/uploads/2.40_.xmb_.musicpanel_.490_.jpEpic 8-hour long level creation sessions can now be accompanied by your own music. ic.

The Cornish Yarg patch was originally slated for an end of January release, but it?s only now that we have this glimpse of a true release date. It?s also thought that online create mode will be coming with Cornish Yarg, though this is unconfirmed.

It?s also worth mentioning that the podcast clarifies that the Frying pan slap has been available in game for a while now, and makes a Shooting-stars style comedy CLANG! sound when you slap other players with it.

Head over to Media Molecule to listen to the latest and greatest podcast, order find it in the iTunes podcast library.

Thanks for Pixelledfox for the heads up. We were still syncing our iPods for some bedtime listening wink

    • Microsoft fixes one of Excel Copilot's most frustrating limitations by Usama Jawad Microsoft began integrating Copilot into Excel a couple of years ago and has been upgrading it with new functionalities since then. While some changes have been controversial, Microsoft is hoping to win over users by allowing them to be more productive via Copilot. To that end, it has now announced a Copilot improvement that may actually be appreciated by people who use it regularly. Excel customers often use the Copilot prompt box to issue instructions to format and customize their data, but it can become quite tiring to keep repeating the same instructions again and again. Microsoft now allows you to define Copilot personalization rules for formatting, naming conventions, formulas, and report styles. These can be accessed via Settings > Personalization, where you can explain your rules in natural language like "Always format currency in USD with no decimals", and just let Copilot take care of the rest. Microsoft is going a step further in this direction by allowing you to set workbook rules too. These rules are stored as a .Rules sheet, and are preserved while the workbook is shared. This fosters collaboration while making sure that standard rules govern the Copilot editing experience across the organization. Other advantages of this capability include pointing it to specific examples, defining dynamic formulas, and referencing an entire sheet and asking Copilot to infer rules based on that. You can leverage this feature by opening Copilot in Excel, clicking on "+", and selecting Create workbook rules. If you have an existing .Rules sheet, you can simply start listing the rules in column A as well. Personalization features are available to all Copilot in Excel users across the web, Mac, and Windows. Meanwhile, workbook rules are currently being previewed for Windows and Mac customers on the Insiders channel. General availability is scheduled after a few weeks, but a concrete date is currently unknown. Overall, the Excel capability is quite similar to ChatGPT's memory features, which allow you to permanently store items in the AI model's context window.
    • Imagine you still haven't discovered Total Commander that is doing all those things for three decades already...
    • This sounds like underneath the nice marketing spin, either someone at Adobe got tired of their lazy devs and asked Microsoft to help them sort at least some of Adobe's ancestral spaghetti code to make it go faster, or Microsoft wanted Adobe's crap to run better on Windows to make it look better when compared to Apple, so they offered to intervene. Either way, GOOD.
    • My favorite file manager for Windows 11 finally gets a long-requested feature by Taras Buria Files is among the best File Explorer alternatives for Windows 10 and 11. This free app is packed with all sorts of features and conveniences, but there is one crucial feature that is still missing—Tree View. Fortunately, the latest update in the Preview channel finally delivers it. With version 4.1.4, which is now available for download in the Preview channel, developers implemented Tree View, a new mode that displays folders in an expandable hierarchy. Windows 11's stock File Explorer always had this feature, but it was nowhere to be found in Files until now. Starting with the latest preview update, you can expand each drive and its nested folders without leaving the current location and then open the folder you need in the main view. To try Tree View in Files, update the app to the latest preview version, then click the small arrow next to a drive to expand its content. The developers say they are rolling out Tree View in Preview first to gather feedback from users and improve the feature before bringing it to all in the stable channel. In addition to Tree View, Files 4.1.14 improves the Windows Fonts folder. You can now preview each font directly in Files with no need to open the built-in font viewer. For now, these two features are only available in the Preview channel. For those using the stable release, developers recently released version 4.1.3, with improvements for the built-in tag system, on-demand folder size calculation, and plenty of various fixes. You can check out the full release notes here. You can download Files from the Microsoft Store (paid version) or its official website (free).
    • Who is paying for this 30x scale-up? Its sounds expensive.
