Featuring Who? - A new unofficial Neowin podcast

Recommended Posts

This is just a reminder to anyone that wants to record , all you have to do is send me a PM.

The point of this podcast is to let anyone who has ever wanted to be a guest on a podcast, to be a guest :)

The reason why there are mostly staff members so far, is because not very many people have asked.

rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy rappy

just talk about up coming movies and tv series :p

i might volunteer myself if ive had enough to drink

I was asked but at the moment I have no mic so it may be a bit difficult but once the mic is bought I will be doing one! and movies maybe mentioned!

LOL

These podcasts remind me of the conversations you overhear that you just find so annoyingg (Especially the last one)

warwagon: "As i'm sitting there, ih eart his, kind of, something fals off, like the box?" wtfLOL

warwagon: i hear like WHOOOOOOSH i hear like a owl enter my closet

warwagon: Now, you're both married is that correct?

warwagon: Now jessica how old are you?

warwagon: Since your both married im assuming your at the same location

LMAO.

Warwagon you are a joker my friend.

Sorry to report but the Featuring who podcast has come to an end. Mainly because of 3 reasons.

1) Nobody actively wanted to be on the show.

2) 1/2 the people who were invited turned it down.

3) Quite a few of the people that actually accepted could never record. After given multiple opportunities.

It was fun while it lasted but hey ya never know, you might see me back in a new podcast in the future. Though I can assume it will be either a 1 or 2 man show with no interviews.

If you want to download the 8 episodes that were produced you can do so for a little while longer as my membership has been canceled for file droppler but it shouldn't take in effect until next month.

The Rss Feed and the Itunes has been canceled and probably already doesn't work.

This does not effect the upcoming interview with Neobond and Redmak called "The Birth of Neowin"

The questions have been submitted to both and I'm waiting to hear back for a time to record.

Just came across this today, really sad to see it end so quickly :( I was looking forward to hearing more, I think the FlishFun/Triliaeris one is my favourite. I'm also looking forward to this Neobond/Redmak podcast you speak of :shifty:

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
