Hi Guys,

I am oftenly getting the error 4226 in the event viewer and after a few entries of this ****ing error my connection does not work and have to restart the machine but on the other end my laptop connected to same home network works fine that means there is some thing wrong with the windows xp machine and I have tried all the patches that are available but i think so that there is no luck can anyone guide where I am doing wrong or some other solution

google says this is related to the tcp/ip connection limit in XP

are you doing something intensive, torrents or online gaming perhaps?

this may help - http://www.mydigitallife.info/2005/11/15/w...-event-id-4226/

I have tried that link and the patch on the website of http://www.lvllord.de/ but what seems to happen after the patch is applied is i cant surf the net the browser goes blank after a couple of hours that means its the same issue but it is not logging it in the event viewer

do you have a browser open for a couple of hours not surfing the net?

i take it you done all the normal things like, rebooting, update BIOS if the network controller is embedded, update drivers etc

ill have a think

edit: what file sharing programs are you using?
