gazebee_
Hey all, I've been using my MBP for a bit over a month, some of the best computing I've ever used, but I have just one little gripe. I simply don't like iPhoto; I've always been a fan of Picasa on the Windows side 'cause it leaves my folders and files intact and I can view all my photos in their file hierarchy. I just don't get the gist of iPhoto. There is a 15GB "iPhoto Library" file eating up space in my Pictures folder. Is it okay to simply delete this and never access iPhoto again? osirisX
If you delete your iPhoto library, then all the photos stored within iPhoto are gone. As long as you have them somewhere else, it's fine. crazzyyfool
Or you could just deselect this option. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/650188-iphoto-help-needed/#findComment-589569471 Share on other sites
CPressland
See now that was one of the best things I liked about iPhoto and I hope iTunes eventually adopts the same method of archiving. furby
^What do you mean? You can turn off iTunes copying songs on import and organising your music folder Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/650188-iphoto-help-needed/#findComment-589569688 Share on other sites
gazebee_
That option is already unchecked, but the file is 15gb! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/650188-iphoto-help-needed/#findComment-589569818 Share on other sites
CPressland
^What do you mean? You can turn off iTunes copying songs on import and organising your music folder I mean it puts it into a "Container File" instead of a "Folder Structure" I know it's essentially the same thing but it'd make moving iTunes libraries around a lot easier Sorry for being offtopic Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/650188-iphoto-help-needed/#findComment-589570583 Share on other sites
offroadaaron
^^ dunno how many people would like that option to be honest. Otherwise i think Apple would've done that, seeing as iphoto has it. gregf45
That's not an option I would use. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/650188-iphoto-help-needed/#findComment-589571675 Share on other sites
