Siren Blood Curse: Adding People On MSN?

It seems if you bought the recent PSN game, Siren: Blood curse, and are using your hotmail account as your PSN email, a Siren bot adds you on MSN not long after purchase, and tells you your dead along with other eery messages, it seems not even blocking works.

The Bots address is [email protected]

:|

i havent purchase (retail) the game yet but i have added the email on msn but i didnt see the bot on my list :(

I found the demo quite average to be honest. The control system was naff, graphics didn't look impressive and the voice acting was terrible. I think ?20 is asking too much for the game of the quality.

Highly disappointed.

Yeah it's a full size game.

Playtimes ranging from around 8-10 hours from what I've seen.

Obviously some people are more depending on how fast they are.

When stuff like Alone in the Dark sells for RRP, and this is ?20, I think it's a little harsh to say it's overpriced. The original on the PS2 will probably still set you back ?10-15.

I've got it all downloaded and waiting to play :( sadly my monitor is out of action. Can't wait to play it :) Yes it's not got graphics to rival the AAA titles, but as a PSN title they had to think about getting it to the consumer. For ?20 and what I saw of it I would say that it's not a bad price:))

I'm still waiting on more impressions :p

Probably from DL as he writes the most haha.

I genuinely can't even spare ?20 right now, got so much to pay for this month, topped off with my bloody car tax.

It's okay though, I've borrowed Civilization Revolution of a mate and holy hell it ate like 4-5 hours of my time up last night. My mate's a huge CIV fan but prefers the PC titles. Says the console version is too simple for his liking haha.

I'm still waiting on more impressions :p

LOL I do tend to write way to much, don't I?

So okay, I am currently on Episode 5, and here is my overall impressions of the game.

You get used to the controls. You definitely do. Even some reviews from the gaming press, I read people complaining about you never feel precise with the controls, especially those times you do have to fight enemies. I can hit an enemy every-time that I need to hit them, and while it is not the best fighting system, it definitely works.

I do wish the camera was better, but you get used to it eventually, it just does take awhile to get used to it, and if you get frustrated easily, this game may not be for you.

Again I will reiterate, this game is creepy as all hell. I love it for that.

It does have some of the more cheesier dialog I have come across in a while on a game with that said, and right now the story seems to be all over the place. That is actually the point it of however, you play these different episodes and chapters from different peoples stand points in order to slowly reveal the story, so it is done like that on purpose, but even on Episode 05, I still do not have much of a clue of what the hell is going on. LOL

I also personally would have liked if the environment were a bit more interactive, even if it did not wind up being all that significant, it is a very old school approach to things that the only things that are interactive are things you need to actually use or look at. So it kind of takes any true exploration and throws it out the window, as you can only interact with things relative to your mission. There are a few exceptions, like I found a phone with a number written near it that I was able to call and hear some creepy voice, and more of this approach would have been a good thing.

Finally, I think that there is a pretty significant difficulty difference in gameplay from one chapter to the next within each episode. Some episodes are ridiculously easy, while others are much harder and require a whole lot of trail and error. A whole lot of trial and error. It would have been nice if they found a happy medium and made them all a bit more consistent with the difficulty.

Overall though I enjoy the game, but I realize it is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I also do believe they are sticking to a very tried and true old school gaming formula, which for me personally has ironic as it will sound, is a breath of fresh air, but many people may think the approach is something they have already seen done in the past and would prefer something a bit more modern.

So if you like classic Horror Survival games, then this game was made for you. It you never really liked them to begin with, this is not going to be the game that makes you like them.

Awesome!

Have you been in the hospital yet? I'm sure I read chapter 5 or 6 was quite scary, and I think it was something to do with a hospital.

I got it on its release and finally found time to play it yesterday and so far i'm liking it. The controls are a bit of a pain, mainly the movement of the character really gets on my nerves. I'm still early on in the game. Just made it to the hospital with the little girl. The game feels like the original Silent Hill at the moment. I'd recommend it to old school survival horror fans.

I'll post a better impression when i've played it some more.

I know this thread is old guys but i've got a question...

Felt like giving this a try, been ages since i played a good horror game so I'm downloading it now from the US PSN store (the UK store does'nt like my card details as usual  ) I've purchased the full game and discovered you have to download it in 12 parts  once all the parts are downloaded does it 'make' the full game and you access it from one icon on the XMB or does it stay in 12 seperate ones? 2 parts have downloaded and installed so far but i can only see one icon.. The following part is'nt overwriting the last one is it? i'm confused  (and so are you after reading that i bet, haha)

you get what i mean? sorry if this is the most retarded question ever, just wondering...

You download it all, then when you load the game (1 icon), all the episodes are displayed on the menu in-game.

I'm playing through it just now :)

Starts off quite slow, but it's getting better!

Cheers Audioboxer! :)

Can't wait to play it, although at the rate it's downloading Siren 2 will be out before it's all finished :p

You don't need to download it all to play.

You can start playing right away after installing the first pack :)

That reminds me, I need to go back and finish it off. I have only played about 3 chapters!

Same here, except I am on like Episode 6 or something, and I never bought the 4 final episodes either.

I've just got upto the fourth chapter, really enjoying it.. The camera takes a little getting used to but it is'nt that bad and the game is really creepy, which is great.. The only thing is that with it constantly switching characters all the time the story is'nt making much sense at the moment

Although I'm guessing it'l all fall into place later on?

On chapter 9 now, really enjoying this.

Think I'd give it a solid 8 so far.

It has all the classic flaws/grudges of a classical survival horror game (meaning even after I finish and think it's awesome, I'd be hard pushed to award a 9, maybe 8.5), but also the pluses.

The shibuto design/art directions are brilliant IMO - RE4 should have done something similar, allows you to stray away from typical zombies, yet not absolutely tone down the horror/scare factor like RE4 did.

Sony should fund these guys to make a new proper Siren for the PS3 (Y)

With Silent Hill seemingly going down the pan, and RE becoming an action game over a survival horror, we really need this genre fed with good ole horror games.

    • Cheap labour, the same as the U.K. China pays their people pittance.
    • Those people that come over here on boats are already in a safe country, if they want to come over here then do so correctly though the right channels. I was born in the U.K, my family that came over here came so via the proper means. My partner came here via the correct channels, she also became a British citizen, she knows more about this country than most of them that was born here, including myself, she worked hard to do what she does. She will stick up for this country and have done a few times, when people from her own part of world have put the U.K down. We are not going to agree, all I said to start with is that maybe Trump has the right idea with this America first thing and maybe we should start doing the same. Maybe not as drastic as what he is doing, but we do need to sort this country out, we need to sort out tech instead of relying on the U.S and others. Again you have not shown why you are so annoyed that we have left the E.U and this is what it is all about? If you don't live in the U.K and live in the E.U are you annoyed that we left your little club? If you live in the U.K and is pro-E.U, then fair enough then I can see how it annoys you. Are you one of these people who lives in the U.K and have a holiday chalet in the E.U and can now only stay there for so long? If so, then that is bad luck. As I have posted before, I have no problem with people coming here to work, as long as they do if via the proper channels. We are out of the E.U, people voted out, and maybe if more people had voted instead of sitting on their backsides the results would have been different. But they like the E.U and our government thought no we would not vote to leave. How wrong they were, surprised me. I expected to wake up in the morning and hear on the radio that we voted to stay. As I said, we are out and have been for 10 years, we are not going to go back in anytime soon if we ever do, so we all need to make the best of how things are. Anyway, this is supposed to be a tech site.
    • Tim Cook: "The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kinds of skills." What's the point of wasting time getting those skills if you can't get a job with them? Good Lord, maybe he and his cohort of CEO's who exported all these jobs to China should just shut the f**k up :D
    • I made a new Cinematic/Trailer for the game, this will be the intro, still a work in progress!  I also updated the Steam page with a ton of new screenshots! 👀 https://store.steampowered.com/app/3925340/Incoherence_Dark_Rooms/
