Binary, sent you an e-mail like 4 days ago (from [email protected]). Still waiting for an answer;))

?

My mail sends most everything to junk, which I'm not receiving. So I most likely didnt get it. But I did answer some people's emails recently on watercolor...

This has been buried on the fourth or fifth page long enough.

So I have to ask about the progress on your next release Binary. I hope everything is going well and am looking forward it.

P.S. I have tried a few other themes but they do not even come close. Long live Watercolor Lite!

The problem with Watercolor is that the titlebar is too thin by about 3 pixels, so when you take an alt+prtscrn screenshot, 3 pixels worth of whatever's behind the window you're screenshotting gets put into the screenshot on the top that you'd have to trim away, and this also applies to tiling windows.

The problem with Watercolor Lite is similar, except this time it's at the bottom of the window. Also, Watercolor Lite's taskbar is not tall enough to match the original (by a few pixels), and so it's not exactly a thin taskbar either.

Watercolor is really my favorite theme, but with these bugs in mind I'm using Luna Blue for now.

It needs to be ....

C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\WatercolorLite\Shell\Ergonomic.

Since Blue is the first substyle colour in the theme it is called NormalColor.

All the other substyle colours have their respective names.

Radish?

    • Windows 95 offered the ability to add and edit the right click menus, on a per file type basis. This feature seems to be missing in the new file explorer. Are they bringing it back as a "new" feature?
    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
    • Outlook classic is inherently better than new outlook, for a number of reasons. That said, if the only reason people need office is to read email, they should just use thunderbird.
