Smallville Season 8!

Recommended Posts

Great episode. Who plays Lex? I thought Michael Rosenbaum wasn't going to be in season 8.

They've been using a stunt double to show Lex this season so far. As for Michael showing up, I thought he said he would only come back for the finale episodes?

It's so freaking Romeo and Juliet on me, you know? I know Clark and Lois are meant to be lovers, but man this show Clark and Lana definitely seem to be star-crossed Lovers (But can not have each other)! And, they didn't have to kill Lana to resolve their relationship, either.

Very emotional, touching I liked it a lot!

I will MISS Lana!

:p to all you Lana haters!!! Happy now? :p

Crap episode, what's with Lana hanging around? Booo, get off the show, bring back Lois!

What's with Chloe still hanging around? Why does Lois have to be so down to Earth and so rude all the time? I thought only kids who were in love were rude to each other because they didn't know how to express it? Am I wrong and do adults actually be rude to others to express their love to the other person? Well personally I think thats immature, just like Lois herself. She seems like the kind of person who would blow someone's secret and not believe in aliens because she is so down to Earth. At least Lana had the qualities Clark needed all along to succeed, and now they are putting an end to her which I think is stupid. In someway, I think Chloe or Lana had the ticket to Clark, but not Lois, she's just not qualified.

And sadly the limping horse called Smallville drags on....and on....and on....

Grow a pair and fly Clark, be superman already. If they're going to do the Justice League, Superman needs time for independant adventures before JL forms. Bleh the story lines suck, IMO.

why do I keep watching? Hope for Superman to show? I suck for watching.

I forgot to mention stop calling the show Smallville when it is really Dramaville.

When a creator made a promise like NO-flying in the show, since the beginning, you shouldn't keep watching it pretending that promise was never made and hope they break these promises. :p

Yeah I was just gonna post that Jedi. The creators had the no flight no tights rule from day one. And even though most expect in the final episode Clark to become Superman at least, it isn't gonna happen anytime soon unless they don't get renewed for S9. At this point, S9 looks like a good bet though imo.

Honestly, I really enjoyed this episode. I like the way the closed the book (for now heh) on the Clark Lana relationship. At least this opens the door finally for Lois. Though, we all know Lex isn't actually dead, it was a neat little deal for him also.

I, sadly, feel the same way about the show. But now that Lana is out of the picture for good, maybe it'll make a move on. In the intro credits, it shows him wearing the square glasses and suit, so this is something that will happen this season.

According to Wikipedia, this season is 22 episodes long. Hopefully, now the story will get moving and do something with the rest of the season.

It seems to me a lot of fans hated on Lana for whatever reasons and didn't want to give her a chance at all.

However, the Lana for the last several episodes is Very mature and good.

This romance between Clark and Lana ended on a high note, I thought.

Sad, but nobody has to die or get unfriendly with each other, but True Love for each other! Plus, another advancement into Lex being Clark's arch-enemy, for destorying their relationship!

Happened already.

Because shes a terrible actor and added nothing to the series except whiny angst.

Because they didn't let her whine.

It ended, finally. The 'note' doesn't really matter.

In the mythos, they don't have 'True Love'. It was just another cop-out by the show.

Jedi aren't you going to tell them to stop watching it? And if they can't say good things to not say anything?

What do you usually say? Something like:

"Not EVERYTHING has to be GOOD acting/episodes!!! Lana Is a GREAT actor!"

I'm waiting.

1) *Sigh* always trying to start something! :|

2) I meant NOT every episode has to be great to YOU. Dude, this is a TV show, not a movie. Some episodes will appeal to some, some episodes will appeal to others. Some little bit boring than others, that's how TV show is. That's what I meant!

3) WTF? Lana is a character!

Kristin is a better actor than you all give her credit for! She is NO oscar winner, but I find her believable & conviencing!

Because shes a terrible actor and added nothing to the series except whiny angst.

Because they didn't let her whine.

Good lord, what do you have against Kristin/Lana?

You act like it's ALL her fault for being whining.

It's always been writer's fault, though.

ALWAYS!!!

She is a terrific actress that play the part of a whiny girlfriend pretty well, because that's HOW the Writers wanted her to act!

The NO FLY RULE is crap. Lana should have died a long time ago.

Why make Clark wear glasses now? He hasn't for most of the show so far. I can accept some variation in the storyline, but damn this show blows chunks for all the drama crap it does.

I'm glad Lex is supposedly dead. Did GA kill Lex in the comics? I don't think so.

Sadly, it's just the rule, so the point is "Don't expect the rules to be broken."

Nobody likes that rule, but you have to ACCEPT it, if you want to keep watching without the negative attitudes.

You think I like it? I just accept it, and move on!

Fact is, there ARE a lot of great episodes on Smallville without his need to fly.

If you can't, sorry, but you don't have to watch.

I like Kristin, she is a good actress. Her last episodes show her very mature, I like her being Lana, she really made Lana the special Lana. I'm really glad that Lana is off saving the world on her own, and actually keeps her abilities. They always revert the characters back to normal when stuff like this happens, this time she kept the abilities and her ambition. She could absorb all the Kryptonite off Smallville, enabling Clark to become Superman and not worry about his weakness. Now her life has nothing to do with being near Clark, so she needs to do something while she lives, she already made a point that her life is Clark and she is keeping it that way. If her life is Clark and she can't be near him, all she can do is be like Clark and protect Clark from far away, her abilities give her the ability to absorb what kills him and she also now has the ambition to save the world. The woman from Legion even said that she did great things and made Clark who he is, apparently she is going to play a big role while she is not in Smallville.

I believe there will be a Season 9, which would show Clark in the process of becoming Superman, it would be more from the comics and The Fortress. As you can see here, the current episodes, well, they are only trials according to Jor-El. We still have a long way to go before Season 8 ends, but I'm sure that we will only go as far as Lois and Clark finally start to get it on. I checked the next episodes and I don't see much action with Lois and Clark, just more Smallville situations. That would mean the end would be where Lois and Clark do get fit in where they reveal their feelings to each other. So I'm pretty sure, the characters right now aren't that old, Chloe like Episode said before, is Smallville, I realized it once Episode said that before, so Clark and Chloe would be the two characters that are old. Other than those two, everybody is half as old as Smallville, or only a quarter as old as Smallville, or the new characters.

    • A 13 billion year old secret about our Universe's origin was revealed by Sayan Sen Image by Pascal Küffer via Pexels Researchers at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (MPIK) in Heidelberg had recreated a key chemical reaction from the early universe, producing results that could change scientists' understanding of how the first stars formed. The study focused on the helium hydride ion (HeH⁺), which is widely regarded as the first molecule to form in the universe. Scientists believe HeH⁺ appeared around 380,000 years after the Big Bang, when the universe had cooled enough for electrons and atomic nuclei to combine into neutral atoms in a period known as recombination. This marked the beginning of chemistry in the cosmos. Immediately after the Big Bang about 13.8 billion years ago, the universe was extremely hot and dense. As it expanded and cooled, hydrogen and helium became the dominant elements. Once neutral helium atoms formed, they could react with ionised hydrogen nuclei, or protons, to create helium hydride ions. Although simple in structure, HeH⁺ played an important role in the young universe. It was the first step in a chain of reactions that eventually produced molecular hydrogen (H₂), a molecule made up of two hydrogen atoms and now the most abundant molecule in the universe. Molecular hydrogen later became a key ingredient in the formation of the first stars. At the time, the universe had entered a phase often called the cosmological "dark age." Matter had become transparent to light following recombination, but there were still no stars or galaxies producing visible light. Several hundred million years would pass before the first stars appeared. For those first stars to form, large clouds of gas had to collapse under their own gravity. To do that, the gas needed to cool by releasing energy. While hydrogen atoms can help with this process at high temperatures, they become less effective below about 10,000 degrees Celsius. Molecules can continue the cooling process by releasing energy through rotational and vibrational motions. Scientists have long considered HeH⁺ a potentially important coolant because of its comparatively large dipole moment, a property that describes how electric charge is distributed within a molecule and allows it to release energy efficiently. The amount of helium hydride present in the early universe may therefore have influenced how easily the first stars could form. At the same time, HeH⁺ was constantly being destroyed. Under primordial conditions, its main destruction mechanisms were recombination with free electrons and chemical reactions with hydrogen atoms. These reactions ultimately helped produce molecular hydrogen, linking the formation and destruction of HeH⁺ to the chemistry that shaped the early universe. For many years, theoretical studies suggested that reactions between HeH⁺ and hydrogen atoms would become much slower at low temperatures. Scientists believed there was an energy barrier along the reaction pathway that reduced the chances of the reaction taking place in the cold conditions of the early universe. The new study suggests otherwise. To investigate the process, researchers recreated a closely related reaction using deuterium, a naturally occurring isotope of hydrogen that contains one proton and one neutron in its nucleus. When HeH⁺ collides with deuterium, it forms an HD⁺ ion and a neutral helium atom. This allows scientists to study the reaction in a controlled way while closely mimicking the behaviour of the original reaction involving hydrogen. The experiments were carried out at the Cryogenic Storage Ring (CSR) at MPIK, a specialised facility designed to recreate conditions similar to those found in space. Researchers stored HeH⁺ ions in the 35-metre storage ring for up to 60 seconds at temperatures just a few kelvins above absolute zero and merged them with a beam of neutral deuterium atoms. By adjusting the speeds of the two particle beams, the team measured how the reaction rate changed with collision energy, which is directly related to temperature. The researchers found that the reaction rate remains almost constant as temperatures decrease. In other words, the reaction does not slow down at low temperatures as earlier models predicted. “Previous theories predicted a significant decrease in the reaction probability at low temperatures, but we were unable to verify this in either the experiment or new theoretical calculations by our colleagues,” explained Dr Holger Kreckel of MPIK. “The reactions of HeH⁺ with neutral hydrogen and deuterium therefore appear to have been far more important for chemistry in the early universe than previously assumed,” he continued. According to the researchers, the reaction appears to be barrierless, meaning there is no energy obstacle preventing it from taking place efficiently even at very low temperatures. The findings support recent theoretical work led by physicist Yohann Scribano, whose group identified an error in a widely used potential energy surface, a mathematical model used to describe how the energy of a system changes during a chemical reaction. The error appears to have caused previous studies to significantly underestimate reaction rates under primordial conditions. The new calculations closely match the experimental results. Together, they suggest that helium chemistry in the early universe may need to be re-evaluated. Because molecules such as HeH⁺ and molecular hydrogen played an important role in cooling primordial gas clouds, the findings could help scientists build more accurate models of how the first stars formed. By showing that helium hydride was likely destroyed more efficiently than previously thought, the study offers new insight into the chemical processes that shaped the universe during its earliest stages and helped set the conditions for the emergence of the first stars. • It could EASILY be 70 for the base game BUT + lots of FOMO to make it up to 100-120, like a few days Early Access, online money, pre-order bonus cars, weapons, missions, clothing, avatars or profile stuff, etc... And still WAY TOO MANY people would buy those and make Rockstar insane money.
