Smallville Season 8!

It would've been much better if Clark got the fortress running before his battle, then he actually dies, but Jor-El teleports him back to the fortress after his "death"... Heals him and starts his training. Just like how Davis was trapped in that pod in the fortress

"My son, you were not prepared, it is time now"

How is going to face off against Zod without training? They keep showing Clark winging it as he goes along, but really... beating Doomsday like that?

Whoa that fight was weak... when Clark was running up to Doomsday I was like: "Hell yes this fight is going to be good" - So I got comfy and watched... but I was very very disappointed. Weak very very weak.. is there any choreography in this show at all?.. if so GET SOME!

Yeah I am disappointed as well.

But this show never had that good of action before either, so I don't know if it's a budget problem or cherography problem, probably the latter, like you said.

My main complaint is it's Rushed.

It should have been 2 hours like all the other shows. Or a 2 parter Season Finale.

More Lois, More Jimmy, More Justice Leaguers, More Legioners, more Tess Mercer and it didn't give anybody enough screen time! :(

They are probably saving the best for the Season 9 Season Premiere, hopefully.

any thoughts on next season?

lois has gone to the future i guess because of the ring

clark is claiming he is no longer clark kent, so will we see superman

will lex be back?

Lois, yes she obviously went into the future. Dunno how that'll play out.

No we won't see Superman until the FINAL episode, that's almost a promise on the shows part.

Lex won't be back until the final few episodes also. At least not the Lex played by Michael R.

If Season 9 is the last, then you'll see those things towards the end of the series next season. But if they go to 10 seasons, don't expect Lex or Clark becoming Superman anytime soon. That doesn't mean Clark won't be doing more Superman things, just that he won't be flying combined with the tights. One or the other, maybe.

yeah, this finale was worse ever.... and let me guess whats next. Clark goes back to past and changes events, Jimmy doesnt die and everyone is happy and it's all nice and peachy again in Dreamland.

And whats up with the meteor rocks and all these syringes and meteor rock bullets and the meteor derived products?

Kriptonite is suppose to be hard to get a hold of, but in these series it seems like every kid can buy it from the local shop.

**** even my three year old niece can kill Superman, just pull out that meteor rock and shove it up his arse.

They really destroyed this show.....

That fight was so poor. All this season they build up to it and it ends in a minute :(

Anyone else think Jimmy's little brother will become the Jimmy of the Superman series? It might explain why the Jimmy in the films/Superman tv eps is so young compared to Clark and Lois and also not break the overall storyline by killing him off.

And they really need to stop with Zod line, it's getting old.

the current writers are they the original for the show, its almost starting to feel like the writers are giving up on the show. The show does have its good moments every now and then, but for the past couple of seasons there has been very slow progression with lots of fillers.

No they aren't the original writers.

While the finale was good, the battle with Doomsday was horrible as others have said. I enjoyed some of the little moments in the episode and the setups for next season. But that fight was just, stupid. Stupid and probably the shortest I've ever seen. The only good thing about it, was Clark getting his ass whipped. Oh and they got Doomsday's look pretty spot on imo. Other than that, bleh.

And the Jimmy thing, god. Don't get me started.

I don't mind Zod coming back, just as long as Clark actually takes him on somehow. I really hope next season we see way more of the Legion and JL guys. I really like the take on them so far. Except for the Green Arrow. What a douchbag he is turning out to be lol

So does anybody else think Clark flew to get away from the explosion? He said he didn't know what happened that allowed him to escape, I assume he flew out but wasn't in full control so he was a little confused as to what was actually happening.

Next season I hope Lois returns from the future to a point in time before the Doomsday fight. This way they can redo the fight so that it's actually interesting.

forgot to mention how the story is unfolding. Lois disappears, Jimmy dies, Chloe is heart broken and Clark runs away.

uh.. way to leave Chloe all alone MR. Hero. they could not of picked the worst time to make Clark Wiser. The whole Jimmy dying was done okay, I am guessing his little brother is called Jimmy JR? Killing Jimmy was a bad move.. he was my favorite character of the show, next was Chloe then Lois Then Clark. So Zod is making a comeback?.. I seriously don't remember how Clark defeated him, do you?

Lois in the future.. I bet the Legion will erase her memory when they find her.

This is what I think should of happened:

There should of been an epic fight, Chloe should of died in the middle of it all, Clark's destiny would start right after Chloe's blood falls to the ground. Lois should of had nothing todo with the Legion ring and going to the future.

Jimmy lives & does not find out about Clark.. he photographs the whole fight with The Red Blue Blur and Doomsday. Doomsday is killed after a long but enjoyable fight.

Tess is in her house and she sees the weird purple lights, she runs around the house to see what it is.. and then we see the "Z" Tess goes blind from the powerful lights coming out of whatever it was the Z was formed around. the camera goes to Tess and we see her eyes slowly burning and turning into just white.. camera fades to black.

This show has No cherography & the story seems to be going back and forward.. If I remember correctly Clark started his training but then was interrupted by Lana... Meh..

I hope the next season is nothing like this one.

Another way to look at what Clark really meant by "Clark Kent is dead" is that he is really dead. Doomsday really killed him, and it's his Ghost in the cemetary and talking to Chloe. She is special/gifted, she probably can talk to the dead for all we know LOL :p

I TOLD you Lana WASN'T the reason the show was poor, it was always the writers and cherography that aren't that great!

Getting rid of Lana made NO difference in Season 8.

POOR Lana was always a scrapgoat/excuse for the writers to DRAG the show out!!!

How can CW really want a season 10 if this Season Finale is weak like this?

So, unless next season is really really GOOD/STRONG starting with Season Premiere to the midterm, I don't think there will be a Season 10

there won't be a season 10 and from what i hear this show might get cancelled before 9 even starts. last night was a total disgrace to every superman fan out there. every forum i was on was going apesh** last night over this and i mean in a bad way!

I don't know about that.

I was majorly disappointed, as well, BUT you gotta at least see Clark don the Superman suit & Fly for REAL before it ENDS for good.

Last night may not be good, but if it ends there, it would be worse!

At least let these 'incompetent' writers finish it on a HIGHER note than last night!

All I am asking is just HIGHER note than last night, for 22-24 more episodes, then be done with the show (NO Season 10)

I am NOT asking for Lost-type of quality, but IF they can prove us wrong I certainly welcome it!!!

Anything is possible, depends on how much talent/effort people treat it with.

you will never see him in the suit, flying yes. the most i can see is him ripping his short open to show the S symbol.

shorter seasons may not be bad. the problem is that the writers have lost a sense of time. clark is now pretty much as old or looks as old as superman did in the last superman returns movie. They really could have ended the show 2 seasons ago if they had not put so many non sense filler episodes in and just focused on the damn story of how clark becomes superman.

    • A 13 billion year old secret about our Universe's origin was revealed by Sayan Sen Image by Pascal Küffer via Pexels Researchers at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik (MPIK) in Heidelberg had recreated a key chemical reaction from the early universe, producing results that could change scientists' understanding of how the first stars formed. The study focused on the helium hydride ion (HeH⁺), which is widely regarded as the first molecule to form in the universe. Scientists believe HeH⁺ appeared around 380,000 years after the Big Bang, when the universe had cooled enough for electrons and atomic nuclei to combine into neutral atoms in a period known as recombination. This marked the beginning of chemistry in the cosmos. Immediately after the Big Bang about 13.8 billion years ago, the universe was extremely hot and dense. As it expanded and cooled, hydrogen and helium became the dominant elements. Once neutral helium atoms formed, they could react with ionised hydrogen nuclei, or protons, to create helium hydride ions. Although simple in structure, HeH⁺ played an important role in the young universe. It was the first step in a chain of reactions that eventually produced molecular hydrogen (H₂), a molecule made up of two hydrogen atoms and now the most abundant molecule in the universe. Molecular hydrogen later became a key ingredient in the formation of the first stars. At the time, the universe had entered a phase often called the cosmological "dark age." Matter had become transparent to light following recombination, but there were still no stars or galaxies producing visible light. Several hundred million years would pass before the first stars appeared. For those first stars to form, large clouds of gas had to collapse under their own gravity. To do that, the gas needed to cool by releasing energy. While hydrogen atoms can help with this process at high temperatures, they become less effective below about 10,000 degrees Celsius. Molecules can continue the cooling process by releasing energy through rotational and vibrational motions. Scientists have long considered HeH⁺ a potentially important coolant because of its comparatively large dipole moment, a property that describes how electric charge is distributed within a molecule and allows it to release energy efficiently. The amount of helium hydride present in the early universe may therefore have influenced how easily the first stars could form. At the same time, HeH⁺ was constantly being destroyed. Under primordial conditions, its main destruction mechanisms were recombination with free electrons and chemical reactions with hydrogen atoms. These reactions ultimately helped produce molecular hydrogen, linking the formation and destruction of HeH⁺ to the chemistry that shaped the early universe. For many years, theoretical studies suggested that reactions between HeH⁺ and hydrogen atoms would become much slower at low temperatures. Scientists believed there was an energy barrier along the reaction pathway that reduced the chances of the reaction taking place in the cold conditions of the early universe. The new study suggests otherwise. To investigate the process, researchers recreated a closely related reaction using deuterium, a naturally occurring isotope of hydrogen that contains one proton and one neutron in its nucleus. When HeH⁺ collides with deuterium, it forms an HD⁺ ion and a neutral helium atom. This allows scientists to study the reaction in a controlled way while closely mimicking the behaviour of the original reaction involving hydrogen. The experiments were carried out at the Cryogenic Storage Ring (CSR) at MPIK, a specialised facility designed to recreate conditions similar to those found in space. Researchers stored HeH⁺ ions in the 35-metre storage ring for up to 60 seconds at temperatures just a few kelvins above absolute zero and merged them with a beam of neutral deuterium atoms. By adjusting the speeds of the two particle beams, the team measured how the reaction rate changed with collision energy, which is directly related to temperature. The researchers found that the reaction rate remains almost constant as temperatures decrease. In other words, the reaction does not slow down at low temperatures as earlier models predicted. “Previous theories predicted a significant decrease in the reaction probability at low temperatures, but we were unable to verify this in either the experiment or new theoretical calculations by our colleagues,” explained Dr Holger Kreckel of MPIK. “The reactions of HeH⁺ with neutral hydrogen and deuterium therefore appear to have been far more important for chemistry in the early universe than previously assumed,” he continued. According to the researchers, the reaction appears to be barrierless, meaning there is no energy obstacle preventing it from taking place efficiently even at very low temperatures. The findings support recent theoretical work led by physicist Yohann Scribano, whose group identified an error in a widely used potential energy surface, a mathematical model used to describe how the energy of a system changes during a chemical reaction. The error appears to have caused previous studies to significantly underestimate reaction rates under primordial conditions. The new calculations closely match the experimental results. Together, they suggest that helium chemistry in the early universe may need to be re-evaluated. Because molecules such as HeH⁺ and molecular hydrogen played an important role in cooling primordial gas clouds, the findings could help scientists build more accurate models of how the first stars formed. By showing that helium hydride was likely destroyed more efficiently than previously thought, the study offers new insight into the chemical processes that shaped the universe during its earliest stages and helped set the conditions for the emergence of the first stars. • It could EASILY be 70 for the base game BUT + lots of FOMO to make it up to 100-120, like a few days Early Access, online money, pre-order bonus cars, weapons, missions, clothing, avatars or profile stuff, etc... And still WAY TOO MANY people would buy those and make Rockstar insane money.
