FTP feature in IE does nothing?

For some reason whenever i try to connect to FTP servers or download off of FTP servers IE does absolutley nothing. Something must be set wrong. Any ideas?

IE only works with some specific FTP standards, try a FTP client like smartftp

I use WSFTP by the way does anyone know a good free program to set up a FTP server to share files with people or how to do it in WSFTP?

The standard XP FTP server should be good enough for you. If not that, then everyone uses Apache.

IEs FTP programs is absolute CRAP, it never works right, and usualy crashes if you try to download somthing :p

You need a real ftp program like FlashFXP or SmartFTP ;)

In IE menu go to Tools, Internet options, Advanced, and enable "Use passive FTP" (or something like that, I'm in spanish IE, but that's the idea)... ;)

Nothing, I just dontl like the interface as much as SmartFTP :p
