HELP: Firefox losing cookies!

Can anyone help me? I have the latest Forfox but it's not saving the cookies. When I close the browser here for example and the return the Neowin a little later, I find I a logged out, like on all other sites. It seems that none of my sites are being saved.

Type about:config in your location bar and find network.cookie.cookieBehavior.

What value is it set to? By default it should be 0, meaning all cookies are accepted (and kept until they expire).

It's set to 0.

Check tools- options privacy -then checkmark the box for prompt. It is possible that it is set to clear private data when FF closes. Also click the settings button and uncheck the cookie box.

That is more than likely other than possibly increase your Cache size.

Also check to see when cookies expire- there is the option of until I close firefox- if set there then change it to until they expire or ask me.

You have NIS installed- I remember testing a version of their privacy which would clear cookies from IE and FF.

This may sound like a crazy question- Linux or Windows for OS?

Try this- instead of signing in on the main ...

Neowin.net Page.

Click Forums then use that sign in on that page- Just a thought Some other software -Yahoo Toolbar- Google Toolbar (they may have settings in them) might see it if you use the main page for signing in as a 3rd party cookie.

Thanks, I don't like NIS and haven't used it for years.

Anyway, I uninstalled and reinstall FF and it seems to be working find now.

Funny this is happening to me too. I'm on FF 2.0.0.16

Hmm.. I think I found my problem. I had my Resident Shield on AVG removing Tracking cookies. I unchecked that option and voila! :D

The same thing is happening to me :( on FF3.0.1, I'll try reinstalling it like you did and hopefully it works. :)

FF has issues at times :/ first time I installed it, it kept crashing, reinstalled n it's not saving cookies :| lol
