Force Unleashed demo on August 21

haha yeah I thought of that but then if you think of it through proportions for example if at his highest level of power he can bring down a star destroyer then surely on a scale at his lowest level is the ability to pwn the Ti Fighter?

or am I becoming a nit picking nerd? :p

Nah we all want that :D

My buddy got me a key for 1 month of Gold, so I promptly downloaded the demo. This game ROCKED, though the stutters when I'd slash and slam my saber into the ground did get annoying. Slamming the Tie Fighter that kept trying to shoot me = pwnage.

Just played this demo again and absolutely loved it!

So much fun seeing how many people you can collect grabbing onto each other when you force grip them. And lifting tie fighters and all that, sooo cool. Need a good pre-order deal for the 360 now!

I enjoyed the demo enough to play through multiple times. I really don't understand why EGM was so hard on the game in their review (C, C, B- according to this). I haven't had a chance to read the review for myself, but those scores seem a bit low.

My only source of worry (based on the demo) is the rather low level of difficulty. The regular enemies were basically there only to serve the purpose of being slaughtered (as beautiful as the force powers are in this game, I would much rather earn my kills instead of having them handed to me), and even the AT-ST went down pretty quick once you figured it out. The higher difficult level didn't really rectify my fear either, so perhaps that's part of what EGM was so upset about.

In any event, nice demo, and I'll probably pick up the game when I get my 360 back from Microsoft.

Well what I heard from some of the early reviews and other sources is while it is a very good game, that it gets repetitious after awhile, and as much as I enjoyed the demo myself, I actually do have that fear which is why it is just a rental for myself.

The demo was ok and was too short to know if it was worth buying. One thing I didn't like was the screen tearing.

Huh thats weird. People mentioning bugs here and there with Stuttering and screen tearing. I have never experienced any such slowdowns or screen tearing as of yet. Must be lucky i guess..

Never heard of that site, can anyone vouch for them?

I've never used them but Shopto name is bounced off the walls allll the time on Hot UK Deals and the like. I would imagine it's a genuine site, sorry I can't be any more help.

I can vouch for ShopTo, it is a very reliable site (Y):)

If you are really skimpy on costs, you can get it for ?37.73 at The Hut and Asda for both Xbox 360 and PS3

    • Waymo recalls self-driving software after cars enter closed freeway work zones by Paul Hill Waymo, the self-driving car maker owned by Alphabet – the parent company of Google –, has recalled some of its fifth-generation Automated Driving Systems (ADS). It did so after some of its cars drove through closed construction zones. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the affected vehicles were capable of driving through a closed freeway construction zone and continuing to drive at speed. The listing on the NHTSA website says that Waymo is currently developing a solution to fix this issue, but in the meantime, freeway driving is being restricted. Waymo will update its ADS software so that vehicles can detect when they can avoid entering construction zones. According to the Safety Recall Report, on April 20, 2026, Waymo’s Field Safety Committee began meetings reviewing an event from April 11, 2026, and five events from April 19, 2026, where Waymo’s autonomous vehicles didn’t recognize and drove past ramp closure signs into the pre-planned freeway construction zones. This took place in Phoenix, Arizona. Separately, on May 18, 2026, seven Waymo vehicles entered freeway lanes with active construction in the San Francisco Bay Area by driving between cones that were placed to show the lane was closed. On the back of both of these events, Waymo restricted freeway driving until it could address the issue. In June, Waymo’s Safety Board reviewed the issue and additional information related to ADS performances around construction zones; then, as a result, it decided to conduct a recall. This development is not good for Waymo as it adds to a growing list of technical hiccups its cars have experienced. Ultimately, it will lead to more scrutiny from lawmakers around the world who will be more cautious about letting autonomous vehicles on their roads without tighter regulation. For readers in areas where Waymo operates, does this news make you more wary about stepping into one of these vehicles?
