I just tried it on the latest shift build, and it crashed the x server.

I tested it on both my machines that have NVidia cards - one with a 7600gt and another with 2 8800GTX's in SLi.

I'll try again tomorrow at some point, just in case something went wrong with the installation.

Tried it again, and the same thing happened. If anyone else would like to test it to make sure it isn't my machines/installation, please feel free.

I think we shold look at working with them to be onw of the first linux distros to include this in the distro

Personally, I think we should hold off until there is something stable. We're planning on offering a way for users to easily install official nVidia (and ATi) drivers, and offering development drivers doesn't seem like a solution to licensing issues.

When they've finished off these drivers, we'll take another look, but we want to offer a clean and polished distribution, not a testbed for software in development.
