  1. 1. Who should lead on Destiny?

9/8c Syfy

Ah, irony. Most of the people trapped on Destiny would like to wash their hands of the cursed vessel while the Lucian Alliance

is bent on boarding and seizing the uncontrollable runaway spaceship. To make matters worse, a nearby binary pulsar is

causing power fluctuations that will eventually cause the death of everyone on board in the first-season finale.

Hmm, can't wait

Who called it! oh yeah :p

From what I expect it's a high radiation pulsar, probably a magnetar emitting high levels of xray and gamma radiation. It could be something else but I can't think what else could cause that kind of mess. Given the high level magnetic field it would affect systems to the level you're seeing, even with shielding.

It's nice to see they are keeping to known astrophysics, it really is.

Yeah, they certainly have a darker sense of humor on SG:U

Why so... serious? I think it really makes the show.

Wow, good episode! Some predictable parts, but I liked it and definitely was on the edge of the couch a few times.

October? Really?

Gah I know! PPPLLLEEAAASSEEEE SyFy... reruns are required. And the ending of the episode, soooo mannnyyy cliffhangers.

Is it just me or did it seem like there was fewer Tauri military at the last scene when they were separated. I think season 2 could open with Young and co. jumping their captors when the ship goes dark. Though it seems more likely that Greer and Lt. Womanizer will hop in the airlock and swing into action.

They are pretty much screwed since the guy went all spray and pray and hit TJ. Either Alaina Huffman is on maternity leave for season 2 or if she some how survives they could use it as a way to write off the whole dealing with a on board baby thing.

I might be reading too much into it but it seems like Varro could be around to play a significant role the next season. It seems like he's the only one with his head on straight. While Young, Kiva and everyone else are all Spartaaa!!1 over each other Varro is the first one to mention that eventually the dust will settle and they will have to deal with the consequences of what they've done to each other. With Kiva dead/incapacitated for now someone will have to step in to fill the void. Kiva was way too evil megalomaniacal villain to keep on the ship without getting rid of her or tossing her in the brig for the rest of the show. I was thinking that it could go so far as having him go all Chakotay and be like "I'm first officer now. We must work together to survive, B'elanna". I doubt that will be the case but you get the idea. :p

I was shouting at the TV when the credits rolled tonight. Great episode! Lots of tension and the poo is really hitting the fan. I'm really not down with waiting until October to see what happens... this is the first Stargate show I've watched seriously and I'm really liking it, even despite its few shortcomings. I'll probably re-watch Season 1 between now and October, maybe even branch out into other Stargate shows. This is cool stuff!

good old syfy, they love their loooooooooooooooooooooong breaks!

Thats what I hate bout SyFy. Luckily thou two of my favourites are returning soon; Eureka and Warehouse 13!

That was pretty much the finest season finale i've ever watched. With this season's Chuck and Fringe a very very close second.

**** Lost - this is how you end a season.

I'm not worried or disappointed about the Eli/Chloe story since its clear that next season we're going to actually get around to exploring the ship. But the thing I love about this show is its not about the cool tech - its actually proper story and character driven which, in the Stargate 'mythology' is secretly what we've all been waiting for. On the flip side, the show seems to be moving further and further away from the whole Stargate thing.

Roll on October though - very happy with this season and happy that all the initial naysayers have come around!

I seem to remember the UK airing episodes during a break earlier than the US would air them, back during the Atlantis days. Wonder if that will happen again?

The shot of Young zoomed in was really a moving shot as it's showing his true emotion. He's failed twice now to "seize the moment" and take action, as Carter did in sacrificing her pilots for the whole ship. Tough call...

The Finale was so so however, i cannot wait for next season to start in October. I love the Stargate series's big fan :D wish it would pick up or something though feels like a syfy drama :p

they didn't for this series, during the winter break we waited the same time as the US

    • While I agree with all that, it just proves there's an a** built for every seat.
    • Lol are you mad because I'm not using AI? I'd rather pay people than lose a bunch of potential customers and get humilated because I used AI. A lot of people won't purchase a game if it used AI during development.

    • hahahahah wow hahahah you sure got me there hahahahahah, you know that bad performance is always due to poor optimization by the developers, right???
    • "I know for a fact I'll never own one of these." This is why choice is better than government regulation. Globaly Android has something like 72% of the smartphone market. Granted the vast majority of that is low end phones. Apple can and should charge whatever they want. The market will decide if it is too much.
