Are you kidding ?

Seinfeld hands down.

I mean to create a comedy that was about everyday life situations and hilarious scenarios involving out-of-this-world characters [The Soup Nazi, Newman, etc. and of course the main characters. ] and above all doesn't get emotional and weepy at the end of every episode [i.e Friends on this list and most other sitcoms] is nothing short of Genius and Original.

I don't hate Friends at all, when I was growing up that's what I always watched [like all people at my age were] and I didn't even know about Seinfeld until when I was like 16 or something, but as "revvo" puts, it takes a certain amount of appreciation to the writing of the show that I consider is very hard to top again and also, If you can accept the absurdity of the show :D, because that's one If not the most debatable point of the show between its lovers and haters.

For me it all comes down to the replay value, for which Seinfeld is limitless, but Friends, It's all over for me now.

Now that's one hardcore Seinfeld fan (Y) You're my hero!! :D

TV for me = Seinfeld! there's nothing else worth watching really if you compare.

Where is 3rd rock from the sun? Seriously that beats the crap out of Friends and any other comedy show.

I hated that show, but I guess it's a matter of opinions.

This is one that was only ever big in britain, but I loved Goodnight Sweetheart. A real bizarre premise, a bloke that could time travel back to wartime london by walking down an alley, but it was done really well and was genuinely very funny. It was so well acted by Nicholas Lyndhurst that they even managed to replace the 2 lead actresses (keeping the same roles) half way through its 6 season run and no one seemed to mind.

Oh I never missed an episode of Goodnight Sweetheart, I much preferred the first 3 series with Dervla Kirwan and Michelle Holmes though, I'm not a big fan of Elizabeth Carling to be honest and I didn't like her in Casualty either.

My vote goes to Friends. I would have put a vote in for Seinfeld too, but I didn't realize you could put multiple votes until AFTER I voted.

When I went to NYC in 2001, I got a picture of myself in front of the Soup Nazi place. That was awesome.

I hated that show, but I guess it's a matter of opinions.

I hated 3rd Rock From The Sun with a PASSION!

It's fine for me to accept stupid characters, but I don't like it when the character is about to say "Hey hey look I'm stupid, can you see ?!", It becomes pathetic for me at least.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
