AJR1
I read this and thought straight away "is he with O2?" because that the same situation im in. They say "Unlimited" but then they say that their fair useage policy limits you to 200mb a month. I've contacted O2 to query this before, and its quite difficult to understand. What they are actually saying is, that yes you can browse and download as much as you want through your iPhone 3G but if you start behaving or sinking "Ridiculous" amounts of data then they will warn you via phone or text and limit you to around 200mb a month. Its a lot of Data for the iPhone to sink a month still, the reason they implemented this was to stop people using it as a Modem via their Laptop/PC. So basically just download/view what the hell you want, and if you are being ridiculously excessive they will contact you, there are no charges straight away, they give you plenty of warnings then if you still do it, then they will charge you. Personally ive abused my Iphone 3G network useage and never hit more than 300mb a month yet, Im usually on my Home Wifi Network, or i find my iPhone 3G has switched to WiFi in Starbucks/McDonalds etc so not on 3G that often unless out on the road. BoJo
Excellent. So what you're saying is it's not a "go over this and pay more" limit but more of a guidline. Should do most of my browsing on wifi anyway as there are cloud/openzone hotspots all over my city. Just need to set it up with openzone: anyone know how to do this? There is a guide for the cloud on o2's website but not for BT openzone :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/661080-how-much-iphone-3g-browsing-will-i-get-in-200mb/page/2/#findComment-589718882 Share on other sites
