House - Season Five

Recommended Posts

I remember some entertainment site talking about a suicide on House this season so when I saw the preview for this week's episode it kind of gave it away. Just didn't know it would be Kutner.

Looks like more House-Kirk's Mom relationship dynamics for next week.

it could be a couple of thing

i mean before last season there were only 3 members of the team, although foremans character has been one of the more dull ones this season, but they may just want to go back to 3 members.

Also he could be doing another movie it could have been many reasons. He wasn't bad for the show so it he had to have left on his terms.

Well, seeing as my original post was removed, here we go again:

Wow - Just plain wow. Originally the plan was to <<Censored>> while doin' the hour on the exercise bike, however I got up a wee-bit late, so had to watch Dexter instead (which aint a bad thing), <<Censored>>. Finished the ol' hour on the bike, <<Censored>>, got changed, and ready for work.

Finishes work just after dinnertime (I work part-time, albeit in strange shifts - sometimes 'tis everyday for a few hours, sometimes 'tis a few days, all day) and after getting some bits and pieces I gets home and jumps on the 'net to find that House threads are near the top of pretty much every site I visits.

Anyways, later on this afternoon I did the second hour session on the bike, <<Censored>> - holy wow, I wasn't expecting that. I knew something had happened, because of all the House talk, but I thought it might be something to do with Houses' blurred vision at the end of the last episode - definitely wasn't expecting it to be what it did.

Really, Really good episode, no two ways about it.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Actor and longtime Obama supporter Kal Penn is joining the Obama administration, the White House confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

The actor will be part of the White House Office of Public Liaison, which is run by Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. Penn will be primarily involved in dealing with Asian American and Pacific Islander communities and the arts community.

Penn's new gig was first reported by EW.com, which shares parent company Time Warner with CNN.

Penn told EW.com that the new position comes after some soul-searching.

There was "'something aching in me to do something completely different and take a break from the acting thing for a while'" Penn said he told the executive producers of the TV series "House" when he explained his decision to get involved with politics full-time.

The actor also said his interest in politics has deep roots. "I've been thinking about [moving into politics] for a while. I love what I do as an actor. I couldn't love it more. . . . .probably from the time I was a kid, I really enjoyed that balance between the arts and public service."

"It's probably because of the value system my grandparents instilled in me. They marched with Gandhi in the Indian independence movement, and that was always in the back of my head. So the past couple of years I thought about it a little more."

But Penn also is leaving the door open to returning to acting at some later point. "Who's to say where any path leads? I still have a passion for it. But for the time being, I won't be acting," Penn told EW.com

Penn endorsed Obama's White House bid in late 2007, and was a frequent campaign surrogate on the trail last year.

    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
