Multiplatform Owners: This fall will make our wallets cry

Recommended Posts

It will be funny to see all of these games in the $5 bin at wal-mart in 3 months

Pass whatever you're smoking.

3 months?!

A fair few of these games will never reach that sort of pricing for maaaaany months, potentially even years.

I'll buy you copies of LBP/Fable2/Gears2/Resistance2/Mirrors Edge/Motorstorm 2/Banjo/Fall out 3/Prince of Persia/COD for free, if I can get them for $5 in 3 months.

Forget fall.

I just finished assasin's creed, moved onto GTA4

I still have:

Frontlines FOW

Crysis

COD4

R6 Vegas 2

MGS 4

Mass Effect

Sins of a solar empire

piled up on my desk.

And there are still other games I want to play.

How many hours do you guys have in a day? :D

PS3

Resistance

Resistance 2

Killzone 2

MGS4

LBP

Spore

Red Alert 3

Left 4 Dead

Farcry 2

Crysis Warhead

Fallout 3

Xbox 360

Fable 2

GOW 2

Banjo kazooie

Viva Pinata 2

Then theres a bunch of maybes such as force unleashed, too human ect ect. My Wii doesn't look like it'll be too busy mind.

my whats left of 2008 list comprimeses of:

PS3

Socom

Killzone 2

LBP

360

GOW2

Farcry 2 (this could be on PS3 as some of my friends "say" there getting one "soon")

Skate 2

The other ones il probably rent.

wait 5 months until you can get them for ?10 in the bargain bin:pp

Unlikely, high profile games take a long time to come down in price. Gears of War was still $60 until a few months ago and it came out in 2006.

It really puts into perspective seeing them all at once, i have been watching trailers for most of these games and i want to play them all but there really is no way im gonna be able to afford them.

Add to the list Wipeout HD, though it might not be released this year... :(

It's confirmed for this year.

It's confirmed for this year.

I just watched the latest trailer and it only says 2008... at this stage if it was going to be released this year we would have at least a month... "December 2008" or something, it only says 2008, though for my own sake i hope you are right, im sick of waiting for this game.

Seriously, money aside, I cannot fathom the thought of buying even just 4 of these games in 3 months. Where do you guys get the time to play them? I usually would just buy a game, play it and beat it, and then buy the next. For me, it's probably like 1-2 months dedicated to each game. That means, I'm probably just going to get 2 this fall: Little Big Planet and SOCOM: Confrontation. The rest can wait. :)

Isn't this pretty much the same every fall? I guess last year (around fall) I was feeling the pain and felt like I would never be able to play any of them (senior in high school), but this fall looks about the same (I'm in college).

I have to say that is quite a line up. I've not really been keeping up with new releases as I've got no next gen console and my laptop is too crap to play any new games.

I'm thinking of getting a PS3 soon though and that LBP looks absolutely awesome. Maybe I'll buy the console with my own money then get money for buying lots of games for my bday in October. Sounds like a plan!

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. GH1749 In the Master Password Setup window, "Show Master Password" is no longer truncated on some displays. New features GH1196 Dark display mode support: Password Safe now supports the system display mode, as well as setting the mode directly via Manage->Options->Display->Display Mode. This change also updates the general "look & feel" of the app to the current Windows theme. Known limitations: The Date picker and keyboard shortcut controls do not switch to dark theme The Customize Toolbar dialog does not switch to dark theme Custom Field support has been added to the more advanced features: Filters XML and Text import and export Comparison, Sync and Merge databases SF938 Custom field values may now be selected by name and copied via a "Copy Custom Field Value..." submenu in the entry context popup menu. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
