gwai lo
Are the settings correct for that frequency? i.e. timings and voltage. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/662878-asus-striker-ii-formula-1066-ddr2-rams/#findComment-589712068 Share on other sites
Viriix
how do i check if the timing and voltage is right? sorry im noob at this.. is it in the manual? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/662878-asus-striker-ii-formula-1066-ddr2-rams/#findComment-589712730 Share on other sites
gwai lo
Well, the easiest way is via CPU-Z. You can see the timings and voltage the sticks are rated for at certain frequencies. You can double check by looking up your model number on Corsair's site. CrashG
how do i check if the timing and voltage is right? sorry im noob at this.. is it in the manual? Use CPU-Z. Look at the SPD tab, it'll show you what timings and voltage. Then go into your BIOS and set it. EDIT: Beaten by gwai lo again :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/662878-asus-striker-ii-formula-1066-ddr2-rams/#findComment-589712758 Share on other sites

You can do whatever you want as long as you can get into Windows to see the SPD tab. gwai lo
I wouldn't worry about your power supply. I fail to really see how this is an issue, you don't see significant gains with running your RAM faster than your FSB and I highly doubt you're pushing 533 FSB. Additionally, what is it right now that you can't figure out? Is it still doing the same thing? You can't figure out the SPD timings? You can't find the BIOS options? You can't figure out CPU-Z? It just isn't POSTing with the timings and voltage?
