Invisibleshield for ipod touch

Recommended Posts

i installed the full body shield last night, installation went smooth.

but.....

in the front shield, i notice some nasty vertical likes along the screen, and they are very noticeable in white backgrounds.

here i am including a picture, you have to pay attention to it, and it doesn't look like a big deal in the picture, but it does look bad when looking at pictures or watching movies.

any of you with this "Invisible" shield here ?

well i can see it and it looks like something to bug one... :(

i would guess that its a general fault of the invisible shield, so that it at least is not your fault... maybe you were unlucky because i did some research on the IS before and i didnt find that kind of problem...

dont they offer a lifetime guarantee? go to your local electronics store and ask for what to do. i mean its visible even on photographs...

I have a BeskSkinEver on a Sansa e280 (which is the exact same as an InvisibleShield)

Let me tell you, you aren't going to get a better application then that. That is hardly a problem to be honest. What's worse is the orange peel effect (which everybody experiences)

yeah i see that "orange peel effect" which i don't mind at all, but those lines bug me, even when watching movies i can't help it but pay more attention to those lines than the movie itself LOL

So "KKoo" do you think that even if they send me a replacement one, would look the same??

I would strongly recommend trying best skin ever. http://www.bestskinsever.com/

I have applied bse on 4 different player and all the results have been great!

Looks like a good alternative, and half the price too.

too bad i already spent $25 on that IS :(

Are you referring to the lines that goes up & down? Could it be the solution left over? Did you let it dry for 24 hours? Were the lines there on the IS before you applied it?

I have the IS installed on my touch & it's flawless. Installation was extremely easy too. Got it for half off when it went on sale last year.

I installed an IS on my Touch a few months ago and there wasn't those streaks you show in your photos. I bought another IS for my new iPhone just recently and I can say they really cheaped out on the material now. The iPhone did have the streaks on it after my application and setting period (48 hours). I removed the front screen film and replaced it with a Power Support Anti-glare shield from the Apple Store. Much better and is way easier to read outdoors now.

they wrote me again saying that they would send a free replacement as long as i pay the shipping, that would bring the total to $30 with the first IS and i really don't want to do all that again so i guess i'll stick with the current one i have. i guess i can live with it.

but is funny, InvisibleSHIELD not so "Invisible"

    • too bad the "backend" June 2026 ESD files are still at build 26200.8653 and not at the correct build 26200.8655 release. I'll avoid using the MCT for several weeks until late July 2026
    • Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite chip brings on-device AI to Android XR devices by Pradeep Viswanathan Qualcomm has been delivering dedicated SoCs for mixed reality and spatial computing devices for several years. The journey started with the Snapdragon XR1, followed by the Snapdragon XR2 in 2019, the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 in September 2023, and finally the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 in 2024. Today, Qualcomm announced a major upgrade with the new Snapdragon Reality Elite Platform, which targets premium mixed reality and spatial computing devices. OEMs can use this SoC to power both all-in-one video-see-through headsets and lightweight, tethered optical-see-through glasses. Qualcomm highlighted that the Snapdragon Reality Elite will power the next wave of Android XR devices coming later this year. These wearables will offer better visuals, improved power efficiency, and deeper on-device AI integration compared to the previous generation. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can deliver up to 48 TOPS of AI performance, allowing large language models and large vision models to run directly on the device for the first time. In addition to enabling new spatial AI experiences, these new AI capabilities will improve head and hand tracking, as well as see-through features. On the performance side, the Snapdragon Reality Elite offers up to 60% higher GPU performance, up to 30% higher CPU performance, and up to 160% higher NPU performance compared to the previous generation. The platform supports visuals of up to 4.4K per eye at 90 frames per second for sharper images and smoother motion. Qualcomm is also claiming significant efficiency improvements. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can offer up to 20% longer battery life under the same workload. More importantly, the chipset can run up to 12 degrees Celsius cooler under load, making headsets more comfortable for users to wear for longer periods. The platform also includes improvements to video see-through, featuring lower latency and better image quality. Qualcomm states that its EVA hardware block helps accelerate demanding computer vision workloads, improving how digital content blends with the real world.
    • Umm... GitHub continues to use AWS. That's the story, that's the headline. There's no "new" news here. GitHub continues to require additional capacity beyond the originally-planned Azure allocations. There's nothing special about this; nothing noteworthy. They're still using AWS' infra until the cutover is complete.
