[Help] MS Office 2007 Outlook Problem

Question

post-23703-1220096268_thumb.jpg

When I click on a URL link in a mail this pops up! I have looked EVERY place that I can think of. I have recently installed Kaspersky A/V 2009 and have also looked but as I do not know the program that well I may well have missed something! Any help would be great! Thanks.

This might help

It can happen if you have another browser set as default other than IE 6/7/8, best bet to cure that one is to uninstall the other browser, run IE to set it as default browser, reboot and then reinstall the preferred browser again. Long winded I know but I have this on a friends machine once and that was how I fixed it.

I noticed the new firefox 3.0 is intent on becoming the default broswer. Was it installed?

No, I use Maxthon. Maxthon does ask if you want to make it the default, but as you know it uses the Trident engine that IE uses so it is almost as if you are using IE anyway! Thinking about it I think perhaps when I installed the latest version of Opera that this caused the issue. TBH I have never run into this problem before so I cannot say with any authority what actually caused the problem.

Thanks Gary! I am not 100% sure what you are referring to. I am not having any problems with my browsers or being able to receive or read my mail! Only when clicking on a link in the mail!

That is basically doing what BeLGaRaTh said to do.

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
