Why you care about it? Your physical RAM usage is only 36%.

Free RAM is bad.

If calc.exe (calculator) would take 300mb and I would still have 30% of memory usage then yes, I would most DEFINATELY care about it.

I care because it looks unusual to me, not because I'm low on free ram.

plugins/addons can increase memory usage,very buggy ones can up it even more and maybe cause ie to crash but vista handles memory differently,so free ram=wasted ram.ie is known to be a memory hog whenever it feels like it.

Probably bugs with add-ins. If you want, you can use the Add-ins Manager from the Tools menu to disable any that you aren't using.

You probably don't want to disable Flash, though, which is the most likely culprit in this case.

Then again, this isn't always even a bug. The plug-in might be knowingly using this memory, and its usage may go down if memory pressure is added (ie. if free physical memory gets low due to other apps allocating memory).
