StevoJD
My Mac never shuts down, it's always asleep. Anyways, after using my Mac for a few hours the genie minimize effect starts getting laggy until I completely restart, but then it only lasts about 2 hours until the problem comes back. I've tried running Onyx and checking any memory leaks, but so far nothing. This has happened for as long as I've had my Mac, just recently started getting bothered by it since it's become more frequent. Any ideas? raider360
I am not sure, but maybe you should check your temperatures when you get this lags again. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/664272-os-x-rot/#findComment-589727700 Share on other sites

giga Veteran Posted September 1, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 1, 2008 I use USB Overdrive instead of LCC--it's always given me problems. You can't try a new account and see? Boz
StevoJD for mouse utilities you want SteerMouse.. it's the best app for mouse on OSX. Forget about LCC, trust me I tried them all.. 39 Thieves
Not to attempt to discourage the Microsoft hate here, but the background Google crap and a torrent client, which can thrash the harddrive quite a bit, can cause their fair share of lagginess in the UI. StevoJD
Done doing house cleaning. Thanks for the suggestion Boz, tried it out and Steermouse works great. (Y) Hopefully the lag doesn't come back, but I doubt it. Also, I doubt Transmission is the culprit, downloads are only at 50kbps, and Google notifier is handy.
