Gaming router suggestions

Hello Everyone,

I am in the market for a router. I want a router that will allow me to set priority for gaming either via QoS or built in.

Any suggestions?

Highest rated router on all of Newegg there is. Thats the wired one, they also offer same router as wireless.

It has 802.11n and all those fun QoS settings. I recommend it.

Thank You for all your suggestions, it gave me a place to begin researching. The WRT54G (linksys/cisco) family looks good once the firmware upgrades (tomato or dd-wrt) are installed; but I really liked the built-in gamefuel functionality of the DGL-4500, plus the QoS settings are the icing on the cake.

The wrt54GL has 1550 reviews with 82% being a 5, that router only has 299 reviews with 81% of them being 5. The wrt54gl has 15x Winner of Customer Choice Award - Wireless Routers, that router has none.

Probably because if you use sort by best rating, that is what Newegg puts at the top? (for wired routers).

If you do enough large local transfers that you'd benefit from gigabit wired ports get one of the D-Link DGL series, otherwise pick up something that is dd-wrt compatible.

It doesnt support dd-wrt but it does hardware qos and is a mimo wireless router.

I would use DDWRT firmware on a lynksys router it seems the best way to control the gaming throttle .
