PowerBook G4 Battery Not Charging

A couple of days ago my battery stopped charging. It was a recall battery that I had Apple replace a while back. Do I just buy a new battery or is there some way I can "revive" this one or at least check it. The laptop is barely used and this was so sudden that it makes me think that it is not the battery but something else.
