Xbox 360 Arcade & Xbox Live

I'm planning on buying a Xbox 360 Arcade and GTA IV for my little brother b-day tomorrow. Since it doesn't come with a hard drive will he still be able play GTA IV multiplayer on Xbox Live and other multiplayer games?

Oh and are the RROD issues fixed yet?

Yeah as it comes with a memory card you can save games. You won't be able to download a whole lot from love though.

As for RROD, yeah the newer revisions are really stable. Hell, i'm still using my launch console, theyre generally really stable machines now (Y)

GTA IV uses the HDD for caching textures and other resources, the game may get slow without it (I have an 360 with HDD, so I can't really know much it affects performance)

If you can still find a 20GB version, the price difference isn't worth going for the arcade. Here it was $299 for the pro 20GB and $279 for the arcade.

Not all Multiplayer games will work on the 360 without a hard drive. Quite a lot of them require one for online play (especially those that use DLC). Get the hard drive, you'll only regret it later if you don't.

The Arcade does work with all games, the only problem on live might be games that require downloadable maps for ranked matches (ie Halo3).

Also I wouldn't recommend GTA4 for anyone 13 or under. It is a GREAT game though

It doesn't work with ALL games, don't say that. It definitely doesn't work with burnout paradise or soul calibur 4 (at least for live).
