My dad had a stroke...

Recommended Posts

I haven't been around much the last couple weeks anyways, but on Thursday my father had a stroke. I've been at the hospital for the last 2 days. Haven't really had any time to be here. Hopefully soon everything will be back to normal...

I am about to go back to the hospital soon, so I will go into further details when I get a chance.

Everything is still the same. His condition hasn't changed at all.

Basically, he had a stroke that effected one nerve. He lost the ability to swallow (water, food, saliva, anything) and has trouble with his voice. But he can still talk. Everything else right now seems normal.

They moved him out of the ICU last night and into a private room.

The same thing happened to my grandmother, she had a stroke (ended up being the 3rd time she had one) and she lost the ability to swallow and speak.

Hopefully your father gets better man, unfortunately my grandmother never did

All the best man, best thing you can do is be there for him and keep his spirits up.

That sounds terrible. My great-grandmother had a stroke, unfortunately, she died a year later (just in May). So, I (kind of, because I wasn't very close to my great-grandmother) understand what you're going through. My grandfather, who is my favorite member of the family (we are exactly alike), also has heart disease, and he seems to be doing okay (he just can't do some things physically), but his potential of dying worries me very much.

Hopefully the second situation (with my grandfather) will pass on to you, and he will be fine.

For starters, Win11Debloat can now automatically detect previously applied tweaks for the logged-in user. And reverting them is as simple as unchecking the corresponding setting.
