Ack, so many to choose from... Which one can ignore the ads that geocities puts on the top right corner like this one

Pop Up Cop gets rid of those, and gets rid of the flying Flash ads too. It's not free, but it is by far the best I've used yet.

You guys should try Ad Muncher. It's pop-up and ad remover. Not only it removes ads and pop ups in every browser you use but also in ad supported applications like: ed2k, yahoo messenger, kazaa etc. It's very small about 90kb yet very effective and it has low impact on your resources. It saved me about 100MB of bandwith in a month. Try it and you won't be sorry.

Does anyone know of a way to disable browser re-sizing in IE? I know proxomitron can do this, but can it be done any other way?

From a webmaster's point of view I dislike the idea of adblockers, that is how we provide the content on the sites for free... as a surfer I understand the need to block over-zealouse website owners from taking over the browser with pop-up after pop-up... and browser resizing annoys the hell out of me.

*sigh* I hope someday there will be a balance that is good for both sides.

Ad-Muncher can do it.

Sounds good kujemer! I'll try that out too

IgwanaRob, Pop Up Cop is great! I like how it shows on the explorer and turns red when there's an ad instead of the system tray

I love the fully customizable toolbar - only show what you want. The "Play all Flash animations" is a great one - block all flash, and click on the ones you need/want. Plus the blocking of browser resizing, and the excellent cookie control and trusted site integration with IE insures your setting remain even if you remove the program. Easy to select security levels is nice to. Too many great options, and so far the only one to block those stupid flash fly-in ads.
