other ways to embed flash?

I am trying to embed flash clips on my hi5 profile (kinda like myspace) however the website has stripped users of that ability. There is an alternative, using a media player embed code. Instead of a WMA link, I put in my SWF. Although it does display the clip, the ability to spawn pop-ups doesn't work when embedding it this way. (when the movie opens a new window and directs you to another page)

What other possible ways can I embed flash clips?
