Rock Band gets a price cut in the UK [X360]

EA has announced a ?20 price cut to the Xbox 360 Rock Band Instruments in the UK.

The Rock Band Instrument Edition will now retail at the still ridiculously expensive RRP of ?109.99, rather than ?129.99. Of course you?ll still have to buy the game separately, but hey, ?20 off is better than nothing. Unless you buy online of course, where it?s been priced at ?99.99 across multiple retailers for a while.

But but but I thought it was more expensive in the UK because of tax and stuff! And with the credit crunch, SURELY prices should be going UP....

No doubt it's because Rockband 2 is right around the corner and they need to drop the price before it launches. Same thing happened last year with Guitar Hero 2 & 3. It had the same price for the best part of 6 months and only when 3 was on the horizon did you start to find it cheaper.

The Instruments have been ?99 on play and shopto since release for the 360!

I got RockBand the game for free the other day. My work used to run a gaming programme, and they still get stuff through the post every now and then.

So I think I'll wait till RB2 and get the new (hopefully improved) instruments, and transfer the songs.

I have never really been interested in buying rock band but if they lower the price I maybe interested.
