Can somebody (who's read the books) spoil when Tara's mom is going to die?

It's been a while. but as far as I can remember she wasn't in the books at all. I believe Tara was only a minor character in book two and then never heard from again.

their roles were invented for the TV show.

correct she was really minor...in book 3 she meets a vampire like in the series but she wasn't really mentioned at all.

Funny episode.

Until the end when it was more "wtf am I watching?!?". That's gotta be the strangest sex scene ever.

well he said it would be ****ed up :D

loved the episode though! seeing Alcide after reading about him in the book is awesome!

I bet the scene where he was having sex with his maker was another bad dream, seeing as how he had several of them with her involved recently.

I dont think it was a dream it was reality...he's so ****ed off at her that he wants to end her but at same time twist her head round and **** her from behind lmao...or is that front?

Since I haven't watched True Blood since season 1, which I never finished, which I eventually will. Can anyone tell me what the new species (creatures?) is that shows up in season 3?

Season 2 - Maenad

Season 3 - Werewolves

I know there seems to be a break every year, but what's with the 2 week break? Why is it like a standard with t.v. shows? Why 2 weeks? I don't really understand it, to be honest.

True Blood airs on Sundays... Sunday is July 4th. A lot of other tv shows that air on Sundays will not broadcast any new episodes either.

i could understand if you were from another country...but your location is in the states and you're really wondering why a new show won't be on this sunday....really?

I remember they did it last year too, and it wasn't due to any holiday. It's a catchup thing I guess.

Yeah that is what I was referring to. Obviously it's because of the 4th this year, but other shows do it too, not just the HBO ones. Ones in like the fall.

most Fall shows end in May...on average they get 22 episodes....starting in Aug/Sept....how else would they make it to May if they didn't take the occasional break? and then you have certain events/holidays/etc where the break makes complete sense...like on FOX for baseball or the break from late november/early december until mid January...sure there's the occasional break for no reason other than to have a break but that's the way TV has always worked...why do people act every year like this is some completely new phenomenon?

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
