Error when installing sound drivers "could not create c:/cabs"

Hey everyone,

so I'm installing new drivers on my friends emachine w3611 for him (he had vista but the computer doesn't meet the requirements even though it was the manufacturer that put it on, which is stupid, so i installed xp pro). Anyway, his sound drivers won't unzip or install, instead I get this error when I try "could not create "c:/cabs" - aborting unzip operation"

No idea how to fix this,

anybody have any ideas?
