How about an all Supernatural column? -- Katy

Ausiello: Would you settle for an all Supernatural answer instead? The final three episodes of the season can be summed up in three words: Dean vs. Sam. Also, the kid who plays Mary Louise Parker's son, Shane, on Weeds has been cast as a ghost in a spring episode.

As predicted

You know, we've been saying it all along but now that it's probably going to happen, I almost don't want them to take the show that way.

True, but it could turn out to be quite "epic". :)

Good Episode :D

There was strippers! :p

We got a taster as well at the impending battle which was cool!

Yeah, it was a good episode. The strippers were a definite plus (Y). And that hot forensics doctor wasn't too bad either (Y) (Y).

The fight between Sam and Dean, foreshadowing what's going to happen later, made me uneasy. I used to think the idea of the brothers turning on each other was a sweet idea. But now that I got a taste of what the show is going to feel like when they do, I don't think I like it too much. I hope they do that plot-line very carefully, otherwise it could ruin the show for me. And God, do I love this show.

Oh, Brother! Exclusive Supernatural Casting News

Is there a third Winchester sibling among us? It certainly would seem so, and Jake Abel (Threshold) is playing him, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Abel has been cast on the CW's Supernatural as Adam Milligan, an 18-year-old whom Sam and Dean meet in an episode titled "Jump the Shark" and airing April 23.

Adam, viewers will learn, is the by-product of a little somethin'-somethin' that big daddy John enjoyed during one of his demon hunts. Upon eventually being told by a onetime paramour of Adam's paternity, John paid the lad the occasional visit. Never, though, did John alert Sam and Dean to Adam's existence, nor vice versa.

As such, it will be ... um, interesting ... when the two Winchester boys we know and love come to know the boy they (nor we) never knew. You know?

Yes, Supernatural fans. It's near-blasphemous to introduce a new bro

So the "fear" episode was on last night (re-run), and I had forgotten how awesome that episode was. Dean cracks me up everytime.

@TV Guide quote: I hope since they named the episode "Jump the Shark" that they play the half-brother scenario off as a light-hearted, poke-fun of other shows. I really hope that the new kid isn't an actual sibling to Dean and Sam. If he turns out to be a kid who grew up idolizing them because they saved him/his family when he was younger, I could live with that. But an actual relative would be stupid.

February 24, 2009 (Burbank, California) ─ The CW announced today the early pickups of six series, including five of the network's signature dramas and the reality hit AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, which will all return in Fall 2009.

"As we continue to build The CW Network as a destination for young women, these six shows have clearly contributed to strengthening our schedule and our brand identity," said Dawn Ostroff, President, Entertainment, The CW. "By securing these signature hits for next season, we're furthering our commitment to deliver high-quality, original programming to our viewers, advertisers and affiliates."

Among the series receiving early pickups for next season are The CW's Monday tandem of sophomore sensation GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL, which combined to lift The CW to become the fall's #1 network on Monday with women 18-34. Both GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL have scored double-digit gains compared to their previous seasons. Freshman hit 90210 has improved the network's Tuesday night by double-digit increases in key demos. Wednesday anchor AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, which consistently wins its time period with young women, will also be back with superstar Tyra Banks and new groups of aspiring models for cycles 13 and 14.

Also renewed were the network's established Thursday team of SMALLVILLE, in its ninth season, and SUPERNATURAL, which after posting ratings growth this season, will enter its fifth season next year.

With less than six days until the next all-new episode of Supernatural, what better way to prepare than watching some clips from the episode! BuddyTV has three video clips from ?Death Takes a Holiday? that look absolutely hilarious. Click here to watch all the clips.

Does anyone know what is so special/different as mentioned by Castiel about Dean at the end?

We know how Sam is different, but there's this mystery hovering around Dean and why the angels see hope in him (previous episode with the fallen angel), and here again when Castiel says Dean is different (in reference to why he was brought back). Grimreaper doesn't think there's any miracle or positive point about this resurrection, but this is a tv show and I doubt in the end they'd let the devil win.

Maybe this has been covered in previous episodes, but I haven't seen all the episodes unfortunately.

It would be grand if Dean has some angel powers, or something like that... we do know the brothers are going to fight against each other, so how does Dean stand a chance... Sam's getting pumped up, and Dean is just "different" but the same as anyone else

I agree Rappy. Last night's episode was awesome. Sam is way more powerful now than he was, and they've returned to the angel/demon/seal plotline. (Y) (Y) (Y). I can't wait to see the rest of the season.

They haven't really explained why Dean is so important. It could be as simple as he's Sam's brother, and he's the only one that can get through to Sam...or stop him. Or...

Maybe Dean is like Anna, in that he was an angel before he was reborn as a human? Maybe God or Heaven decided to send one of their own into the mortal realm because there is some crazy loop-hole, rule, prophecy about how only a human can prevent the apocolypse or something. We'll see I guess. :D

P.S. - Tessa is HOT.

So far, we don't know what's so special about Dean apart from the fact that he was pulled from Hell by Castiel. You're right. Sam's different because of his demon blood. That gives him special abilities and immunity to certain things (like what we saw in the last episode). It's possible that Dean could've been an angel in a previous life but sure that would've been mentioned by now. I think Dean will end up with angelic powers but will remain human and thus keeping his free will. After all, we know that angels only answer to God himself and that they don't have free will. Maybe Dean learnt some moves in hell that he hasn't used yet. In any case, I'm sure the good guys will win.

As for the upcoming episode, it seems odd that they'd use Dean to torture Alistair. Firstly, I thought demons could withstand a lot of pain in the real world. After all they did come from hell, a place of pure pain and chaos. Secondly, don't most demons possess live bodies? I'm pretty sure they'd be torturing the poor fella who Alistair chose as his "meat". It's fair game if the person was dead to begin with. However, if that isn't the case then I fail to see the point in torture. All in all, I'm sure it'll be a great episode.
