How I Met Your Mother - Season 4

Recommended Posts

Lots of spoilers on here  (Warning would have been nice)

But this is one of my favorite shows! I don't care what ANYONE says, Robin is "the Mother". Anyone care to place a wager? ;) (Or, failing that, a poll?)

I wish, but that wouldn't make sense. He's always referred to her as Aunt Robin when he's talking to his kids. Unless he's been using that name to fool them (and the Robin we know isn't actually the Aunt Robin they think he's talking about), she's not the mother. It would be cool if that happened, but it would also seem kind of gimmicky once it was finally revealed. I wouldn't mind it though, I love Robin :p

Robin being the mother would be a BIG case of unreliable narrator but I seriously doubt they're taking the show in that direction.

I laughed out loud when Marshall suggested that Robin should marry a U.S citizen

Yeah and Barney started to get on one knee haha

Has anyone found Monday's (02/09/09) episode?! The stupid presidential speech was on last night and I couldn't watch it. It's not on CBS.com or Hulu and I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know where I can get it?

edit: Nevermind, damn broadcast channel schedules. They put in another break, so it won't be back until March.

By the End of the Season We Will Answer The Title!

For once, I'm probably not jerking your chain with that title.

How I Met Your Mother co-creator Carter Bays tells me that the sitcom's central mystery is about to be solved. Or rather, resolved. At least kinda-sorta.

"At the end of the season, we will address the title of our show," reveals Bays, adding that the last four episodes will feature "big events in the lives of our characters -- specifically Ted (Josh Radnor). We're going to wrap up some things that have been left dangling."

Translation: I think the M-bomb's about to be dropped!

Bays wouldn't elaborate on the nature of the revelation (i.e. will the mom actually be ID'd?) or how it might figure into this season's cliffhanger. "But I will say at the very least that the season will end with a complete sentence," he teases. "We've left some sentence fragments dangling in past seasons, but this year, there will either be a period, a question mark or an exclamation point. We will be giving the audience that."

:o Wow. I'm assuming one of the big events is Barney and Robin finally getting together. The last few episodes have definitely been leading to that.

But who could the mother be? Or will they introduce her and not tell us the significance of the character?

I'm excited.

"tell the pants story!" Barneys face was so funny "Please sir can I have more...pants"

    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
