Control ipod touch FROM computer

I know its possible to control computer (iTunes) from ipod Touch by using Remote (and a few other apps which can do it).

Is it possible to control ipod touch FROM computer over wifi

I have my laptop in front of me on my desk but my ipod touch is connected to my TV (using them as speakers).

The ipod touch is connected to a dock thing and I have the remote so thats OK BUT it would be nice to be able to easily scroll through playlist etc. The apple dock remote control basically just allows pause, play, skip track and adjust volume.

I want some app that showed basically what is displayed on the ipod touch with the playlists etc and allowing me to navigate around the ipod menu

You can if you are willing to jailbreak your iPod Touch and install Veency (a VNC server for the iphone that should also work with the iPod Touch).

wow vnc server for ipod, thats crazy lol. Im gonna have to try that.
