I don't understand why anyone would want their browser to look like Chrome in the first place :x

Saying that, it looks pretty close to the real deal, but that font really needs changing (N)

I was just going to post the same thing. I see these articles all the time,. Make Firefox look like IE 8, why would anyone want to?

That font is the font you get when using a Windows in Chinese or Japanese (or anything else that looks like that). It makes normal letters that ugly. Should look like the real deal on an English (or something with a normal alphabet) pc

Ah ok that explains it then.

Hi,

Here is my Opera 9.60 Build 10439 skin looking like Google Chrome.

I have changed all the menus and toolbars to simulate Chrome.

Also I redesigned the History and Download windows as the

pic shows. So far I have done only those 2 panels as it only

what Google Chrome has at the moment but maybe later

I will change the other panels to suit when I find the right images.

I kind of like the Chrome skin as it is light and simple design.

@ Wellofsouls....good job mate :)

Hi lomas,

Are you referring to the blue bar at the top of the window with the web address and the name

Google Chrome in it?

If so go to this site http://my.opera.com/AyushJ/blog/winchanger by Ayushj and look at his program winchanger.

I tried it myself but could not get it to work as I wanted so let me know how you go?.

cheers

503 - Server is overloaded, retry later

Link doesnt work... i will try again later...

Looks pretty nice, but all of the screenshots so far are on XP. Does anyone have a screenshot of Opera 9.6 on Vista using this Chrome skin? Because with Chrome, the whole title bar is part of Aero Glass. Does it work the same way with Opera?

Exactly what I was thinking. If anything, I wish I could make Chrome look like Opera. :D

That said, this is a pretty good mod. It isn't exact, but its better than I thought possible. ^_^

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
    • eh I'll wait for the June 2026 MVS ISO downloads which should be coming out next Tuesday June 16 and possibly contain build 8655 instead of 8653
