Ambroos
That font is the font you get when using a Windows in Chinese or Japanese (or anything else that looks like that). It makes normal letters that ugly. Should look like the real deal on an English (or something with a normal alphabet) pc Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/674982-make-opera-look-like-chrome/#findComment-589875894 Share on other sites

wellofsouls
Looks like a spastic version of Chrome well, I guess I can tweak it some more, ie. adding some spacers, to make it less spastic :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/674982-make-opera-look-like-chrome/#findComment-589875926 Share on other sites

blinkybill
Hi, Here is my Opera 9.60 Build 10439 skin looking like Google Chrome. I have changed all the menus and toolbars to simulate Chrome. Also I redesigned the History and Download windows as the pic shows. So far I have done only those 2 panels as it only what Google Chrome has at the moment but maybe later I will change the other panels to suit when I find the right images. I kind of like the Chrome skin as it is light and simple design. Browser History Panel cheers blinky @ Wellofsouls....good job mate :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/674982-make-opera-look-like-chrome/#findComment-589881462 Share on other sites

blinkybill
Hi lomas, Are you referring to the blue bar at the top of the window with the web address and the name Google Chrome in it? If so go to this site http://my.opera.com/AyushJ/blog/winchanger by Ayushj and look at his program winchanger. I tried it myself but could not get it to work as I wanted so let me know how you go?. cheers blinky Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/674982-make-opera-look-like-chrome/#findComment-589921038 Share on other sites

Quillz
Looks pretty nice, but all of the screenshots so far are on XP. Does anyone have a screenshot of Opera 9.6 on Vista using this Chrome skin? Because with Chrome, the whole title bar is part of Aero Glass. Does it work the same way with Opera? Kronir
I don't understand why anyone would want their browser to look like Chrome in the first place :x Exactly what I was thinking. If anything, I wish I could make Chrome look like Opera. :D That said, this is a pretty good mod. It isn't exact, but its better than I thought possible. ^_^ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/674982-make-opera-look-like-chrome/#findComment-589999682 Share on other sites

yanowhiz
I agree with most in this topic, I'm impressed with the skin, but prefer the UI of Opera. I don't understand why people hate the UI of Opera and love the one of Chrome or Firefox? Especially Firefox vs. Opera, imo, the UI is pretty much the same.
