8 years !!! thats a very long time and how many news gathered ? Newoin has been one of the best community for newbies who turn to be pros in no time on computer issues !!! CONGRATULATIONS for the wonderful work that this community has been giving in the past 8 years for all of us.

Yep, I've been here forever too and my daily online activities wouldn't be complete without a Neowin dabble or two (or five depending on the thread) here and there. So, Happy Birthday Neowin, here is to another 25 years w00t!

And just an aside (I had to, heh) someone asked earlier in the thread yesterday about how many news items have been done since Neowin's inception. Well I can't say since I left staff exactly how much the total is, but I myself did about 1,000 or so posts (almost all in Gamers news) and I know Daniel himself has done like 2 trillion posts (ok maybe not that much). Let's just say, it's been alot of news items since 2001.

      Recycle Bin has been broken for literal YEARS now. The setting to delete files older than 30 days from the bin which is on by default doesn't even work. I have files older than 4 months in it and they are just there still...

      Isn’t it so sweet Microsoft after so many years of neglect, they admit to these issues in Windows lately? Doesn’t this just make you wanna run out and meet them halfway to give them a warm hug only? Just gives us this warm fuzzy feeling thinking about it. /s
