[Official] Weekly 1Up Show/1UP Yours

Recommended Posts

NW has gone on to long without  for the 1UP weekly video & audio podcast.

As gamers there's nothing better to tune into each weekend.

Seeing this weeks lineup made me think, enoughs enough, official topic for discussion :p

1UP Yours (03/10/2008) - Audio podcast

It's a What They Play invasion, as John brings along fellow WTP colleague and industry vet Zoe Flower. Everyone talks a lot about the LittleBigPlanet beta, the DSi and other Nintendo announcements, exclusive Rock Band content at Wal-Mart, and blowing up the Death Star with Gatorade.

I used to watch 'On the Spot' from gamespot, but since most of the good buys have left, I have lost interest. I do listen to giantbomb weekly now. and for Video I love the 1up Show, its great, have it on my zune podcast list. I occasionally listen to 1up Yours now, used to listen weekly, but some shows are like 2 hours long, so its hard to find the time.

We need to give 1up more  agreed.

I dunno, I thought when I was doing the gaming podcasts on Neowin, they were pretty good :D

I enjoy 1up's podcasts/videocasts, but I hate their website with a passion. Some of the reviewers they have are complete morons half the time.

I don't think I was around at the time of those, sounds interesting!

The only upper hand podcasts & videocasts like these have is they can preview unreleased games and visit gaming shows :p

But I'd still be interested in hearing an old NW gaming podcast ;)

Eh, it was only about 2 years or so ago that we did them :D

And while you are right that podcasts and videocasts like the 1up show do get to preview unreleased games and the like, Neowin's lowly little podcast did get to do an interview with Bethesda for when Oblivion was coming out (and I even asked a small question about Fallout at the time, heh) so it isn't just the big guys who get stuff like that, though they usually do.

1UP Show this week caught my eye

1Up Show 10.7 (Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet)

1UP Yours isn't up yet, I'll update when it is.

edit: 1UP Show isn't fully uploaded, jumped the gun a bit early :(

The 1UP Show VERY LATE Today

Why? This:

http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/s...s,603138.shtml

Unfortunately this is completely beyond our control. When Sprint and Cogent have problems it is Sprint and Cogent that must fix them. This means that we're uploading the show from home. On DSL. Our very rough estimate is that the show will take another 10 hours to upload--assuming our uploads hold steady. I'll update if things change. Those of ya who usually wait for the iTunes feed might have to wait even longer as this roadblock could prevent the feed from accessing the file.

This also means that we'll likely be posting the show during the wicked Halloween party happening at our place tonight. Expect pictures to surface on various editor blogs over the next week ;)

Let us all take a moment to reflect the power the backbone-providing companies have over the infrastructure of our everyday lives and then get back to our Halloween!

Again, I'll update y'all if something changes or when the show gets nearer to goin' live. Sowwies!

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
