Are there any computer companies that have any kind of plans where I can pay for a computer or a laptop on monthly repayment plan rather than all upfront. The reason I'm asking is that I'm on a disability pension. I can see that Dell does this but do they support regular customers like me or are they only for businesses?

um i think Blue Hipo something like that gives you a computer for $30/mo for a year...

but i think its a pre configured model so you can't really get what you want....

other than that...i think theres a "Bill me later" program offered by some online stores...

AND...if not...apply for Store credit or a Credit Card...

A lot of finance deals incur charges for setting them up and stupid interest rates. I think a good loan or credit card deal, with 0% or low interest (shop around) might be a better solution. That way you have the freedom to get the laptop you really want instead of being tied to one company.

hey man have you trind to get a disability pension. loan thay give you like ?500 and thay take the money out of your banfit like thare take ?5 out of your pension every week .to get it you just phone the benfits loen make up you need a new cooker or somethink.sorry spallings sux. good luck.

I've gotten lines of credit through both Dell and Gateway. Their terms are on par with what you would expect for a credit account (12-20% interest depending on your credit), though Gateway offered me 12 months interest free when I got my new tablet.

One thing I would advise however - stay away from Bill Me Later - I've done business with them in the past (computer parts from Newegg) and their terms are awful. When I got the credit line, I had terms that were 3 months interest free, but they started charging interest from the moment the account had a balance, and I was never able to get those charges reversed. Plus, their interest rates are horrid.

I would think that you would be better off setting aside the money you would want to spend every month (the equivalent amount to what you would send as payments), and in the end get yourself a nice PC.

Use a dirt-cheap garage sale unit in the mean time.

I mean, what everyone here says about those "payment plan" units is right. You get a cheap unit for an expensive price!

Heck, if you were here local to me, I would send one of our older PCs to you for free (well, I would expect you to pay the shipping, but the unit would be free). Maybe you can find someone willing to do the same in your area?

I heard BlueHippo are scammers and charge interest over 29%. Their systems are **** poor. I know Amazon has a bill me later option if you sign up with them for a credit card I think you have 90 days...

The question is if they accept you and also if they do if you can pay it in 90 days I guess.

Okay. Thanks all very much. I guess I can not get a credit card like I said I am a pensioner not employed.

Harvey Norman do have those called FlexiRent but are these for businesses or can anyone use the service?

dont flexirent or rentsmart, basically you rent the unit for a few years and have to give it back after the term or pay market value after the term to keep it and you end up paying at least double the rrp of the item. You can do interest free finance at any retailer HN, MYER, dj's use GE. Jbhifi, dse, bing lee use hsbc interest free tohugh it is alot harder to get approved for, but you end up paying a $50 admin fee( depends on retailer) and the rrp of the item over the 24 months or w/e the term is. You know the HN adverts for 50 months interest, that would of been a good promo yo go for. go into your local major retailer and ask for interest free or deferred payment finance( of course pay it off before the term finishes or you'll end up paying like 20% interest) DONT unless your a business ask for flexirent or rentsmart and yes anyone can use flexirent but seriously dont unless you have to.

    • Sorry to be that guy but, Given Trump won again even after a failed first term it would appear attacking the other side is how to gain Government in America. Voters when it came down to it didn't give a s**t about those Democratic achievements and voted for Trump over an intelligent, qualified mixed race woman. We need to face up to this uncomfortable reality. There are more Americacan voters who support racism and christian bigotry along with defending and supporting pedophilia, adjudicated rapists, multiple time convicted felons etc than those who don't. Btw, that is how the world sees America now. Not that Trump voters care as they attempt to cocoon themselves in a white supremacy bubble.
    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.
