wordpress problem

sorry, didn't know where to put this..

i forgot my wordpress password and requested a reset, so the send me a link in my mail to reset the password, but when i try to reset via that link it says "Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid." I tried searching wordpress but couldnt find a definite answer. Any ideas?

is it your blog that you forgot the password to? You can to into the database and change it manually.

ya, which file? i went into wp-admin folder, shouldn't i find a config file or similar?

It won't be in a file, you will need to edit the actual database with something like phpmyadmin.I can post exact details a bit later.

wth, i got into the database and changed the password and still it won't let me in. tried password resetting and ended up with the same problem.

When you entered the new password into wordpress did you make sure it stored the md5 hash of the password as instructed below?
