Dave Diller
yesterday, for the first time in over a year, I popped off the keys to my keyboard and took Q-Tips to my keys and in between my keys. Kind of gross to see all the food n bits that have dropped down there, but really quite an incredible difference in how my keyboard sounds and how easy it is now to push my keys down. Now if only I could make my (brand new) mouse quieter... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/678510-making-a-keyboard-like-new/ Share on other sites

t_r_nelson
I've never tried it, but a training facility I was at said they just put them in the dishwasher. As long as they completely dry before plugging them in, they supposedly work fine. They do it every 3 - 4 months. ATGC
I bought the Microsoft comfort curve keyboard a little while ago for like $29.00 CAD. Rarely, do I see any food and dirt going below the keys because of the design of the keyboard. The food and dirt can't fit through the space between the keys, so its easy to remove them... Even if it gets dirty and I don't feel like cleaning, I can always buy another for only $29.00 CAD (doubt it will happen). ahfunaki
If anything gets in mine I just blow it out with the air compressor in the garage... I have blown some keys off with it before though, hah.
