You throw grenades into the mouth with it kinda pops out (the section with teeth) after shooting the blue tentacles, I think you gotta chuck 3 grenades in there

Hope that helps

Cool it does. I figured it was grenades as they were all lying around, and I got two in, just was thinking it should have went down by then, but apparently 3 is the magic number!!

Thanks. (Y)

for every difficulty it needs an extra grenade, casual is 1 grenade, normal is 2 grenades etc.

Makes complete sense, as we were on Hardcore.

Thanks. (Y)

Hey guys, thanks for the tip on using the mortar. I didn't know I was supposed to hold the trigger down, I was just launching them like the other weapons (quick trigger pull). Since I'm at work, I can't go home and try it out yet. I only need like 3 or 4 more kills with it to finish the shock and awe achievement.

Hey like i said before but nobody acknowledged.

Has anyone noticed alot of really bad gameplay problems with crap framerates, screen jumping, slow texture loading and when in any open area all the surroundings are blurred to hell?

I thought this game would have been REALLY polished and would showcase what the 360 could do?

TBH, gameplay-wise its great fun and they have really improved alot of the weapon mechanics.

So is anyone else experiencing these problems?

Yes, every single one of them.

nope, not experiencing those problems

however i dont think they have improved weapon mechanics on a few weapons such as the lancer and shotgun

Seriously? does anyone think this could be to do with hardware? my 360 isnt one of the "Falcon" chipsets and it an older model, maybe its overheating problems?

Also yeah i suppose, i think they just balanced things out, its alot harder to shoot the bows now, and the shotguns arent as good at long range, i remembe rin the first gears getting killed from miles away witha bloody shotgun!

I've been playing coop with DL since I got the game and donly experienced framerate issues during the snow sequence. and that only lasted for under 5 seconds. He said he experienced texture popins once or twice, but I haven't.

The biggest bug I saw was when we're fighting the sea creature, if you get too close to a tentacle before it hits the boat, you float in mid-air and can't move, just waiting for the inevitable death.

I intially noticed several times in my first two hours of play of frame rate drops. I got into NXE early and installed it to HD and I haven't had it happen again other than one small time in a snow level. Not sure if installing it to HD clears any of that up, just thought I would mention it.

I was pretty disappointed about the boss boat sequence. All I will say without spoiling anything is that at one point I actually FELL OFF THE BOAT (caps over :p). I was walking back towards Dom shooting at him (for not shooting at anything) and then all of sudden I was near the railing of the boat and fell down. I saw below the water level and just kept falling until I got a black screen followed by "objective failed". Two attempts later at the boss I was shooting at Dom again and I somehow ended up floating (and stuck in mid air). After about 20 seconds of trying to roll in different directions, I got out of the bug.

I'm doing hardcore myself as well but I could have swore it was only 3 grenades. I just did it last night but who knows, I was really spacing off. :p

I'm doing Hardcore and I have four grenades :/

I have a near-launch manufactured 360 and the only problem I notice is sometimes during cutscenes the video/audio will lock up, as if it were buffering the video. Rather annoying, but it doesn't happen too often so I'm not too bothered. I didn't notice anything with crap framerates during the 6 hour or so run I had playing split-screen co-op (which I imagine would put it through the most stress) or any other time. Didn't notice any slow texture loading - doesn't mean it's not there, but I feel like I'd be a pro at noticing that if it were considering how much I've played GTA4 to date :p

    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
