dimithrak
Hey guys, Just doing a small test for one of my friends company and just wanted your thoughts.. These guys are trying to incorporate the new OCR Key Pay technology and they need to set up a VPN with some offshore clients and clients within the US. They are planning on installing a Citrix Server at the HQ and then prolly terminal computers towards the offshore aspect. To run Citrix, what are your thoughts and what would the Specs be for the servers they would need to set up. and How many servers would they need to setup ? and also your thoughts on whether Citrix is a good way to go.. Would really appreciate your thoughts.. Thanks dimithrak! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/679020-help-needed-with-setting-up-a-vpn/ Share on other sites
UnaBonger
Citrix is great when properly set up... Hard to tell you how many Citrix servers they'll need without knowing the environment... How many users? What find of apps? etc... dimithrak
Citrix is great when properly set up... Hard to tell you how many Citrix servers they'll need without knowing the environment... How many users? What find of apps? etc... Hey thanks for replying... There are approximately 100 users that will be connecting to the onshore location at one given time. The type of application they would be running is just a basic end user application that pulls information from the OCR systems at a different location and shows data to these 100 users... I think that's it. So from what you've said, Citrix seems to be a good idea.. any other options? Skoey
Windows Terminal Services is also an option. Might be worth comparing up the licensing costs between that and Citrix. Window terminal services should work fine for your fairly straight forward setup.
